We visited sailing du lac twice during our August holiday. You need to take ID so bear that in mind to save yourself a trip back to the hotel ! Only one ID needed per party. Plenty of Sup's available, you can't book but no need as Plenty available. Straight out on to the lake which is stunning. We visited on separate occasions and the second time the water was very choppy! Friendly staff, good location

I came for a week long sailing course last month, it was one of my best experiences to date! Friendly fun people, also very professional. My instructor Luca was amazing, very patient with this beginner. Thrilled with this experience and in particular, this school. Would highly recommend!!

Our group of 6 showed up here spontaneously and rented a mix of SUPs and kayaks. The service was fast and the equipment was all in excellent condition. Make sure you know the condition of the water as the water can get choppy at some times of the day. Some of our group went out far and were not able to get back against the winds so that they eventually rowed ashore and walked the last 100 meters or so back with the equipment. Still everyone had a great time!

Felt like the staff were more interested in taking your money than your safety. We rented a double kayak at 12:00 because we were told to come anytime after 11. We weren’t asked about our experience with Kayaking (which is limited) but instead pointed in the direction of a waterfall told it would take 30-40 minutes and then left to get in and go. The water was so choppy and it was so windy that after an hour and 20 min we still weren’t there so turned back. Again no one there to greet us or help us get out of the kayak and when we told staff how long it took they said “oh yeah it gets really windy this time of the day”. Why did no one tell us that before! The kayaks are really uncomfortable as well and have no back support and they don’t have waterproof bags to give people which seems strange for a place that specialises in water sports. Not a good experience and we won’t be back.

Dear pamvicky, we're very sorry that you didn't have a positive experience. Kayaking on the lake is normally a simple sport even for total beginners. Our kayaks are unsinkable and they never capsized. They are made in this way for security reasons. They are not equipped with watertight bags because for free we offer the safe-box service inside the center. The life jackets supplied to each customer are still used to avoid any danger. Our staff can give some advice on where to go, but they obviously can't know how long you're able to paddle and how much you're trained. Unfortunately sometimes the weather changes quickly and the wind can increase. However, on the day you went out there were no danger situations. If you would have needed, you could have asked for support to one of our motorboats that constantly patrol the lake ready to intervene if required (just wave your arms slowly above your head which is equivalent to the international signal of request for help). If you return to visit us you will be a welcome guest and it will certainly be a better experience, at the level of what normally live the hundreds of people who frequent our centers. See you soon. Marco Segnana

We came in the beginning October and the weather was still warm and sunny with blue skies. We had bikes from Sailing du lac which are a fantastic way to get around as there are miles of cycle paths in the town. They have wide range including kids with comfy seats! Ideally located on the lake with short distances to shops, supermarket, restaurants. They have SUPs, canoes, windsurfers and yachts from optimists up to 18 ft top cats. The 18ft top cat easily accommodates an adult with 3 tweenage girls. A lot of fun had by all! Highly recommend Sailing du Lac for all your sailing and biking needs. Staff are very helpful and friendly speaking English italian and German.
