This is a beautiful and large cathedral and we spent quite a while admiring the frescos and enjoying the history.

Beautiful church - Don't miss

Having looked at lots of Italian churches for over 40 years, it's nice to come across one that is ornate but not overdone. We had a leisure visit with a distinct lack of tourists.

Large, ornate church

My wife and I found the few frescos the most interesting part of this cathedral -- seems like most were overpainted a few hundred years ago with typical religious painting, too bad. Spoleto's cathedral was much better.
