Il Battistero is adjacent to the Duomo. This is NOT the Battestero of Parma. This one is small and simple .. but also wonderful. A few years ago I attended an organ & chorale performance that was magnificent. The organ is ancient and had recently been restored. This June they hosted a Fotografia Europea exhibit that was creatively displayed and easy to tour in the space. I look forward to my next visit. Always something different - and wonderful.

Il Battistero is small as compared to the one in Parma. A short walk from B&B Anna e Ricca. I had the pleasure of attending a choir performance featuring the ancient organ housed in the Battestero. In a word: magical. The acoustics were perfect and the organist was magnificent. If you are in the area, check the schedule of events. I doubt you will be disappointed.

This is a 11.th century church, which was rebuilt several times, even the facade is not the original anymore. It is on the main square - Piazza Prampolini.
