La Villa ducale di Rivalta è conosciuta anche come Reggia di Rivalta o Palazzone di Rivalta, è una villa settecentesca edificata nel 1723 per l'erede della casata estense Francesco III d'Este. Il palazzo, di cui rimane l'ala sinistra con grande parco e parterre, si ispirava alla reggia di Versailles. Per la sua bellezza era considerata una delle ultime Delizie estensi.

I had a vision from the bus window, while travelling to Cerreto Laghi from Reggio Emilia. I could not get off the bus, but I still keep in my mind the sight of a wide meadow and its castle along the way.
