Prior to arriving in Ravello for an extended vacation, eight of us decided to sign up for Mamma Agata's Cooking Class...which turned out to be the best decision we made during the entire trip! Chiara, Mamma Agata's daughter, leads this instructional class and she is an absolute delight...personable, warm, engaging, knowledgeable, and so, so entertaining! This class takes most of... More

This was my fourth time taking cooking class with Mamma, Chiara and Gennaro and it never gets old. After my first time, I knew I discovered a gem so I had to return with my husband and son, again with my brother and just recently with my sister-in-law and her family. Words cannot adequately describe the fabulous experience. Chiara is... More

We spent the most wonderful day with Mamma Agata, Chiara, Gennaro and her lovely family. Chiara is the perfect host with incredible personal skills remembering everybody's name, nationality and her knowledge of the world is amazing, not to mention her funny stories. My husband and I were attending the day but Chiara opened her home also to my daughter who... More

Chiara, the hostess and driving force behind Mamma Agate's, is a wonderfully welcoming amazing cook with a passion for healthy organic food. As others have remarked, it is expensive but so worth it if you can afford it. From the welcome drink and lemon cake to the farewell homemade limoncello and another slice of lemon cake, you will be treated like... More

One of our favorite things we did during two weeks on our Italian honeymoon. Chiara welcomes strangers who share a love of food into her family's home of 250 years with open arms and a lovely and charismatic disposition. With freedom to roam the beautiful gardens, plenty of time in her kitchen observing and tasting, and enjoy the company of... More

Mamma Agata is a full day experience in an Italian home on the Amalfil Coast. You are welcomed in as family and given great cooking lessons. The views are incredible. Its called Cooking School but it should be called Eating School as you will eat from the moment you arrive to the moment you leave. Expensive - yes but you... More

First thing everyone should know...this is an instructional experience, not a hands-on one. I had hoped for the latter. Chiara, Mamma Agata's daughter is a warm and bubbly person. She greeted me enthusiastically. It was amazing how she remembered everyone's name and used our names frequently throughout the day. We watched as Mamma Agata and Chiara cooked and explained their... Just come back from an absolutely amazing day at mamma agata cooking class. If you can find the time you have to go, her enthusiasm and wonderful personality makes the day even more special even before you taste the food. The food is simply amazing... I cannot think of a more perfect day. Thank you for a wonderful experience x.

This is a meal my wife and I will remember forever. The care chiara puts into making her clients experience amazing is unrivaled. She is a great host and so accommodative to her guests. Her mom adds a true authentic feel of Italian family cooking. The setting is stunning and cannot be beaten, overlooking her lemon groves, gardens, and the... More

Wow! A truly unforgettable experience. Ciara is such a lovely host and made us feel right at home in her home. A great day of eating, drinking and learning. Great to get to know the other people from America and Australia attending the course on the same day too. The views from garden and the dining table are unbelievable. We... More
