All reviews great walk steep steps knee problems down hill calf muscles walked down takes about an hour sita bus walking shoes villa cimbrone follow the signs amalfi coast gelato worth the effort gorgeous views the main square knees
The landscape is breath taking.
Mountains, rocks in the water and the blue sea. Amazing. The roads are twisted and driving is a challenge even for experienced drivers. Unfortunately the weather did not permit swimming but for sure it was very tempting.
The ‘shorter’ walk is a TON of stairs. Some pretty steep and would be too steep for small children.
Easy walk the longer way. Just follow the signs.
Pretty walk in some places but a majority is just streets w trees and interesting scenerey.
Walking from Ravello to Atrani could be another 3000 or so .. stairs above the beautiful shades of blue ... Yes, worth of visit! I chose Via del papa Giovanni XXIII for the start point. When you're getting closer to the sea, the trail leads...More
You’ll find occasional signs leading you to Ravello, but it’s pretty straight forward. Make sure you take the second path up once it veers off from the main road towards Ravello (visible on google maps ). It’s much more picturesque and easier on the body...More
We do walk about 10-12 km every day. However this walk was different, short but difficult. Some of the stairs were broken, and most of them were not leveled well. The scenery un believable, you have to do it!!!!
If you have the energy and did not use it all up getting to Ravello and around the town then this walk is well worth doing. It is poorly signposted but if you follow the river you can't go wrong. Lovely Amalfi Coast scenery all...More

What a great walk for all three of us. We are all over 40’s and reasonably fit. There are a lot of stairs but it is an enjoyable walk and you definitely earn your lunch. We found the walk up the hill from Atrani more...More

If you start from the Villa Cimbrone Street the walk has good signage. It is a little less clear if you start from Via Della Republica, but doable if you keep heading right and down! Another option is go head to Minori - if you go Via Torello it is very straightforward. Minori is smaller, much less touristic and has some wonderful bakeries, cafes and restaurants.
