About
Ex Chiesa di San Giovanni is a deconsecrated church and one of the oldest buildings in Prato (XII sec.). It is located in the old town centre, behind "Castello dell'Imperatore", at a short walk from main services and points of interest. Opened in October 2014, is the place in Prato where "ideas make their way" through meetings, cultural events, exhibitions, workshops, concerts.

Sono stato presso questo spazio espositivo in occasione di una mostra fotografica e mi è molto piaciuto... è in pieno centro e chi lo gestisce ha ristrutturato l'ambiente in modo molto moderno, oltretutto prima c'era un'attività artigianale e non rendeva merito alla location.
So che ci organizzano tantissimi eventi, mostre, band a suonare... e che c'è anche uno spazio bar... non li ho provati... però conto di tornare perché il posto è molto carino!

Nooo... bellino bellino! Col mio corp, Euphonios, siamo stati qui a cantare per un nostro concerto... non mi ero mai accorta di questa chicca nascosta! Una chiesetta sconsacrata bellina bellina per gli eventi!

Sono stata per la prima volta nell'ex Chiesa di san Giovanni in occasione dell'evento di Andrea Chimenti "Il Porto Sepolto" e sono rimasta molto colpita da questo ambiente evocativo che ha contribuito molto all'atmosfera del concerto.

Un posto unico nel cuore della città!

Adoro questo spazio ricavato in un immobile che risale al XII secolo.
Spesso ci vado ad ascoltare bella musica sapendo di poter bere vino e birra di produttori locali.
Vi si possono ammirare anche mostre fotografiche.
I concerti più riusciti sono quelli di tipo acustico.
Per me è il top !

La cosa più spettacolare è vedere una chiesa trasformarsi in una officia e successivamente in uno spazio polivalente. L'ex chiesa ha diverse facce ma una programmazione di base sempre interessante. Ci puoi vedere concertini, piece teatrali e performance, frequentare corsi o fermarsi a vedere una mostra. Prezzi bar nella norma, offerta bar molto particolare.

Una piccola perla.

Ex chiesa del 1100 in pieno centro, diversi anni fa adibita ad officina meccanica e che oggi finalmente ha trovato il prestigio che merita! Qua ci sono mostre, eventi, spettacoli teatrali e piccoli concerti di artisti noti o emergenti da gustare in un'atmosfera molto intima, con un bicchiere di buon vino del territorio.
Un luogo che si adatterebbe più ad una grande città, non tanto per le caratteristiche, ma sicuramente perché avrebbe il massimo del riscontro. Questo gioiello merita davvero le nostre attenzioni ed il nostro affetto!
