Lovely find while we were staying in Praiano. Lovely welcome by Genaro and simple menu, fish or meat, but food was gorgeous! Checked we had no allergies etc and considering Genaro does practically everything himself service was excellent. The atmosphere was great and 3 excellent courses for €30 each, you can't beat that.

This place is simply the best! Gennaro is still cooking up a storm. My favourite restaurant in Praiano by miles. If you want excellent food & wine, fabulous service and a great evening out then this is the place to go.

At a local hotel we met two other women travelers who were having a grand time checking out the Amalfi coast. You could tell that they loved their food and their praise was so over the top about their delicious meals at Vivaro's that we made arrangements to go with them for their last evening in Praiano. They explained that... More

A must. Owner is a fantastic chef, waiter and great sommelier. Small, where everyone gets to know everyone. Mixture of locals and tourist. We went here twice in one week. Just loved it. Wish such a place could exist in our neighborhood in Manhattan

We met a couple on the beach today that have spend their holidays in Positano for 20 years now ! They told us to check out this little wine bar. So we did and it was great. We went there with our daughters and had 2 different pasta's as primi and a fish/meat plate as secondi and it was just... More

We were in this little restaurant a few back. We were staying in Priano. Our friends had found this place on their last trip to Italy. It has a great atmosphere very welcoming. The food was amazing. The owner Gennaro just cooked up what was fresh and served it. We went back 3 or 4 times for dinner and most... More

Vivaro is a great food experience: the owner is the chef, he cooks basically by himself all the food. There is no menu, he will just ask you what you like/dislike so he can cook something for you.The atmosphere is very cozy, not a fancy place but very warm and familiar. We paid 90 euros for 2 persons, wine included ( 1... The title says it all. This was absolutely amazing food. We booked based on prior reviews and were not disappointed. We simply picked seafood or meat and the colpur of the wine and the chef/manager/best multi tasker around did the rest. Trust him. Price wise I think it came out about 40-50 euros per person. We will definitely fo back.

We dined at Vivaro Wine Bar afoul of years ago and were keen to take friends there on our return to Praiano. Admittedly we we're worried that it would not be as good but were not disappointed. When we popped in to book our table, we were told by a worried Genarro that there was no menu... Excellent we thought.... More
