Camped out here for a week in 2017 and was heading back in July of 2018, but never made it due to the Munich airport chaos and our flights being canceled. It has a golf course, baseball diamonds, tennis courts, mini-mart, camp supply store, swimming pool, fitness center, and and and When we were there, the 'Devil's Breath' was visiting and the pool water was used to put out fires. The fact that it sits inside a volcano makes it pretty special, but the lava field underneath isn't exactly dead. Unfortunately, it is restricted in use and not open to the general public.

This is a park and golf course set in the crater of a volcano. The park has baseball and soccer fields, tennis courts, playgrounds, and a football field. It also has a fitness yurt and camping facilities. The pool is only open during the summer. There are hiking trails that will take you up the sides of the volcano. Great place to get a workout and plenty of parking. The golf course clubhouse does serve some food but the few times I've eaten there it hasn't been very good.

We stayed for 4 days and three nights in a cabin. The cabin has 1 queen and a set of bunk beds with a small bathroom and kitchen. The kitchen has no utensils FYI but you can get a kit w plates skillet and bowls from the front. It is in the middle of the volcano with a pool (only opens in June) ball park, soccer fields, laundrymat, and showers. There is a golf course open right next to it to with a nice restaurant open 11-6 with food and beer. There is supposed to be a mini nex but was not open, no WiFi and limited stores to get supplies you need. If you want to just get away and relax where it is guarded and safe then go. There is grills to bbq and plenty to relax. There is a restaurant ammmaccca 8 minutes away best pizza I’ve had in the the 3 years of living here. Enjoy!

The volcano is dead, so don't worry about vesuvius style eruption when your at the "19th" hole, unless Vesuvius which is only a few miles away happens to erupt then oh well. The park has water slides, pool, recreational activities, and the most fun, playing a nine hole round of golf inside a volcano. you can play many courses on this earth, but that is a story within itself. It was also the headquarters for the allied command during World War Two while they planned the invasion of northern Italy. So good for history lovers as well.
