This stretch of coastline has often been described as the most beautiful in the entire Mediterranean. One after another, green and rocky mountains plunge dramatically into the Mediterranean blue sea. The famous Amalfi Coast road clings to the mountainsides revealing a succession of picture book views each seemingly more stunning than the one before. Not so many years ago much of this coast was only accessible by boat. Now it is a fashionable resort area which retains the charm of past times.

It's not like the regular sand beaches. It's a mix of sand and pebbles. However what makes it amazing is the weather. We had been there when it was slightly cloudy and a bit windy without much crowd. It was worth experiencing this place under...More

A nice if rocky beach.Guido and his staff at the cafe rent the chairs, pour the drinks, prepare the tasty food (5 euro for a great big panini), bring it to your lounge chair, and provide a free water taxi ride back to Spiagga grande...More

You make arrangements for your stay to have your chairs reserved on the beach. The food at the restaurant on the beach was excellent.

There are restaurants on the beach and they are good -- Really like La Cambusa the best after trying all three---returned there 3 times (!). Fun to see every one arriving and enjoying Positano

We stopped here every afternoon during our stay in Positano. This beach was small, not crowded, beautiful views, and had great amenities. Make sure you have a bite to eat and drink at Bagni Da Ferdinando, a friendly family-run spot!

Definitely one of the friendliest beach bars in Positano with a nice well maintained beach area. Good food and drinks and value for money.

From the great beach, facing the water, walk the pathway to your right and you will reach Fornillo. Since it is January, the beach was empty. Someone told us that in summer, Fornillo would be better, less people. It is a smallish beach - but...More
