Smaller, picturesque and less crowded than the main beach, but an easy walk into town. Some good restaurants in Fornillo itself meant we didn't have to go into to town or book in advance. Stayed at Hotel Dimora Fornillo...would stay again in a heartbeat!!

The smaller of Positano’s beaches, reached by a pretty walk and judging by Italian custom and beach etiquette, a good choice and this time of year. Loved the views, enjoyed the swimming and hospitality.

Not as crowded as the main beach. Couple of casual restaurants and shower and toilet facilities. Short walk from Positano. Our choice when in Positano.

Less crowded, better value, great fresh salads at Pepetto - definitely worth the wander over from the main beach in so many ways. Agree it’s a bit pebbly and harder getting in and out but water shoes do the trick

We decided to go to this beach because it’s less crowded than Spiaggia Grande. We spent the whole day there drinking beer, bathing and enjoying the sun. It’s way cheaper also, we paid 15 euros for two beach beds and an umbrella, for exactly the...More

Easy to get to Fornillo beach, by taking the small coastal path from the marina in Positano. Takes about 15 minutes to walk round, not that strenuous. Can also get a complimentary boat from one of the beach bars on Fornillo beach, if using their...More

I took a day trip from Rome in August by way of the high speed train to Salerno and a ferry to Positano. I was so glad to have done the research to find out about the smaller beach at Fornillo as the main beach...More

Yes, there are a couple of bars and restaurants suitable for brunch or lunch... not so much for a fancy dinner.
