We booked a 2 hour Amalfi coast trip from Positano. We were looking for a boat tour of the area which was not one of the full day tours that leave early in the morning but would allow us to see the coast by boat for a similar price.
Unfortunately the day we chose was a bad weather day with choppy seas and rain. The office was very helpful and arranged to postpone our trip for a better weather day which was the right decision.
Our driver for the day was Stefano, a 20 year old local who has been doing this since he was 13. Stefano was a great driver (in contrast to some of his peers on the water) who went at the speed that we asked and did his best to avoid turbulence from larger, passing ships. We got to see all the major sights along the way and he explained many things to us. He also managed to get us to Amalfi and back in time without driving too fast. We couldn't have asked for a better experience.

This was the best 2 hours we spent on the Amalfi coast. We never thought we could afford a private boat tour after we stopped at the first kiosk. Great company, captain Stefano and price.

Everyone at Cassiopea was so friendly and helpful and genuinely wanted to make sure we had a fun and memorable experience. We did a 4 hour private tour of the coast, going from Positano to Amalfi and stopping at a few different grottoes and other places to swim.
Our captain, Francisco, was great to spend the day with. He was fun and helpful, sharing some information about the different grottoes, towns, buildings, and locations. He gave recommendations on the best spots and views to jump in the water, and let us choose where to swim throughout the day. He was also a great photographer - we probably asked him to take 100 pics of us.
After another boat tour company in Positano cancelled on us the morning of our reservation (on our anniversary, when we had booked their boat 4 months prior) - the wonderful people at Cassiopea took us within the hour on a private boat with no problem. They really saved our day and made sure we had an enjoyable and memorable private experience.
I can’t thank them enough for being so kind and helpful, and showing us an incredible day on the Amalfi coast!

DO NOT BOOK this company!! My boyfriend and I booked a private boat half day tour. Our captain was Stefano and he was not a vibe. He was grumpy and had an attitude nearly the entire 4 hours. The first thing he said to my boyfriend was do you have drugs? (He is black and I felt that was a racial profile, and him being racist). I wanted to take some nice pictures and he gave me a hard time about it and showed no effort at all with our photos so I basically got none I liked. I asked him to drive the boat faster and he claimed it didn’t go faster but others were riding past us so that was odd. I was really upset with this tour and I paid alot of money for it. Over $800, what a complete waste!!

With the help of Captain Franco I popped the question to my girlfriend on a beautiful waterfront cruise up and down the coast outside of Positano. Franco was super helpful and offered to take our photo and recorded video of me asking her to be my wife. She said yes and I was able to capture those moments thanks to Franco’s help. On top of that great customer service he was very knowledgeable about the buildings and homes along the coast, he pointed out the amazing hotels and gave up a history lesson on different events that happened in the area. We loved learning about the pirate watch towers that were built the protect the land. 10/10 would recommend!

Firstly huge thank you to our fabulous Captain Stefanie who looked after us for the day. Words cannot adequately describe the perfect day we had. This was a private boat trip for four of us two couples & worth every euro! We left Positano at 10am & headed for Capri a beautiful trip along the Amalfi coast stopping for a swim & Prosecco. We were dropped at Capri where we had three hours to explore then picked up & taken back to Positano for 6pm. This boat trip was amazing the highlight of our trip. The boat was a good size & very comfortable plenty of room for sunbathing.

What can I say- excellent family company! This was my 5 th time with Cassiopea and 3rd for my husband! Roberto and Capt Stefono are professionals. Their knowledge about safety & weather conditions for their guests are remarkable. We’ve become family over the years and I’m so grateful for their hospitality and kindness. I thank all of the crew and employees!!!

My experience with Cassiopeia Positano was wonderful. I did a solo 3-hour boat cruise of the Almafi Coast which included sightings of 2 caves and plenty of time for swimming. The views were just breathtaking. My boat driver, Franco, was very professional and knowledgeable. He was patient and kindly took amazing pictures of me. I felt safe and comfortable the entire time. Thank you Roberto and your entire crew for this unforgettable experience :) Highly recommend!

Perfect ride to see the coast line between Positano and Amalfi with a stop over Amalfi to visit for 1 hour. Full tour was 3h and my sister and I had a wonderful time with plenty of dives along the way. Francisco was our skipper and he was very nice. Highly recommend it

We loved relaxing on the boat while Angelo showed us all of the beautiful towns from positano to minori and beautiful caves and swim spots. A not to be missed activity! Angelo was very professional, kind, and took the best photos! We loved every minute!

Do the boat rides include areas to go cliff jumping and cave swimming in Positano, Italy?

No they do not. You can’t swim in the grottos as it is a safety hazard. No cliff jumping either.
