Glad I read TripAdvisor reviews before visiting. Not like his other more elaborate homes. Almost empty of furnishings. Museum is empty.

We were impressed with what we saw. Not lavish, but the history is there. Building and the grounds are very nice. Nice setting in the countryside. We were certainly not disappointed.

Few kilometers from the city of Portoferraio is the Residence of Napoleon. Nice entrance and beautiful house with the view to the city and sea from the balcony. You walk through the rooms and get the insight of Napoleons life on Elba. Entrance 5€.
