Simbolo di Porto San Giorgio

Rocca o fortilizio eretto nel 1267 per volere di Lorenzo Tiepolo, podestà della vicina città di Fermo e futuro Doge della Serenissima, si erge su un piccolo promontorio posta a difesa dell'antico porto della città. Presenta delle mura - rimaneggiate nel corso dei secoli - a pianta pentagonale, con torri e merli guelfi ed un alto mastio centrale. Il complesso difensivo fortificato comprendeva, oltre alla rocca, anche: a monte, una cinta di mura a difesa di tutto il porto culminanti in un'alta torre; degli archi, in muratura, posti a guardia nelle acque dell'antico approdo. Oggi impiegata nel periodo estivo come location eccezionale per eventi cinematografici e teatrali. Consiglio la visita

Rocca Tiepolo simbolo di Porto san Giorgio, costruita nel 1267 dal podestà di Fermo Lorenzo Tiepolo, oggi adibita a teatro e manifestazioni culturali di vario genere.... Oggi è leggermente trascurata.

Eh si..... per quanto sia bella non si è potuta visitarla perchè era chiusa.... è proprio un peccato perchè sicuramente sarà molto bella!!!

Foi construída em 1267 para defender o porto da cidade e até o último terremoto nessa região era usada para eventos culturais e obras de teatro. Hoje infelizmente está fechada e completamente abandonada..

A pochi passi dalla spiaggia,a pochi metri dal centro cittadino,si trova questo monumento,rocca eretta nel 1267,per volere del podestà Tiepolo,a difesa dell'antico porto della cittadina.Da visitare anche il vecchio incasato.
