The boat trip should have lasted three hours but actually lasted 2.5 hours. We arrived early so we could choose nice seats to sit but were told where we had to sit. The captain was totally unfriendly and his sidekick was worse. Zero information was given during the trip apart from the name of the beach; similar to riding the London Underground. The return trip was done in silence. The boat seats about 40 people...and it's a small boat - but they let a family of 4 come on at the last minute and they blocked the passageway for when it was time to take a swim. A lady was offered the chance to sit in a different position; she thought about it and when finally decided to change, they told her to be quiet and sit where she had been told to sit. A wonderful family in front of us had a beautiful, yet severely disabled, 11 year-old child. The staff of the boat made no effort to help the family; the only thing they did was to insist the child was 11 years old and therefore should pay the full aduly ticket price. The icing on the cake was the smoking; everyone was allowed to smoke - even the captain of the boat. Even the woman sitting next to the engine and the fuel was allowed to smoke. When we mentioned it to the captain, he said there was no problem with smoking if people didn't throw there cigarette ends into the water. Very environmentally friendly!!! And if the boat explodes????…

We visited Isola d’Elba with my family and we stayed near PortoAzzurro. We went with Il Dollaro II for an afternoon boat trip along the south west coast of Isola D’ Elba. All went very well, we enjoyed a lot, very good swimmings in 2 beautiful locations, people was very good and gentle. It was only too short.....…
