There were about 20 other people here during our visit so it felt quite and peaceful. We arrived on a hire boat and had plenty of help from the staff when we moored. Mooring was free which was a nice surprise. We had lunch which was simple but enjoyable.

Joining the seaside is not easy in Ponza. Few sand spots and quite crowded.
It's easy to join Cala Fonte, by foot, bus or car, and just some steps to be on the water.
You just have to cross a small canal with 'Caronte' and you are on a rock with very easy access to water, even for people afraid of rocky water.
The water is just beautiful and the seabed interesting for snorklers.
Better to rent a deck chair, as the rocks are sharp.

A breathtaking spot but it is fenced off (in lousy Italian style) but we climbed over it and had a nice swim. There was a local warning us for medusas (jellyfish) but we didn't encounter any. Beautiful spot to watch the sunset. Almost nobody around.

We spent a nice day at Cala Fonte. You get there by taking a bus from porto(approx. 30 min). The water is amazing! Clear and blue with some caves and lots to see.
The only thing that bothered me was that there were only rocks to lay on - no beach! They were very uncomfortable and sharp if you did not want to rent a lounger.
Also when getting into the water there were quite a few sharp rocks. Bring watershoes!
Still a trip worth it!!!!

A nice little bay with cristal clear water. Have good swim there. It is a 10 minutes walk from the bus station.
