Ci sono tornata dopo qualche anno d'assenza in occasione della bella mostra fotografica di George Tatge "Il colore del caso". Aperto da poco il piano terreno allestito a museo del Novecento, assai utile per inquadrare l'evoluzione originale della cultura figurativa pistoiese.

Museo interessantissimo, in uno splendido palazzo, con artisti che conoscevamo poco o per nulla e di grande impatto come Nigro o Milani, fino alle splendide fotografie di Mario Carnicelli che chiudono il percorso; c'è anche una sezione al secondo piano dedicata alle mostre temporanee.

a mio avviso deve essere visto come un museo work in progress. andrebbe arricchito ulteriormente per renderlo maggiormente attrattivo. tuttavia le opere esposte in via permanente colpiscono per la potenza plastica, soprattutto le splendide sculture di Agenore Fabbri

...questo Palazzo si trova davanti alla chiesa di Sant' Andrea a Pistoia...il Museo del Novecento e del Contemporaneo di Palazzo Fabroni...dal nome della nobile famiglia pistoiese che lo abitò fino al 1842...espone la collezione permanente di arte moderna e contemporanea del Comune di Pistoia...io comunque lo ho visto solamente dall'esterno!!...

nella splendida location di Palazzo Fabroni, edificio ideale per dare il massimo risalto alla collezione di arte contemporanea che ospita, si rinnova ogni volta l'emozione della visione delle opere dei più significativi artisti contemporanei, molti dei quali legati al territorio: Buscioni, Barni, Ruffi, Nigro, Nativi. E poi Kounellis, Parmiggiani, Ranaldi, Fabro...Un Palazzo ricco di tesori da scoprire.
