The Castel itself has a great location on the edge of the sweet little town of Peschici. After viewing an interesting and wide collection of torture instruments used in the past inside this well preserved building you can enjoy some more "cheerful" times on the beautiful balcony platform that opens up to a beautiful panoramic view!

We had not expected a torture museum, and this is not our cup of tea. Strange that children would be offered a discount, because I really don't think this castle is suitable for them. There is a nice panoramic view of the sea from the terrace at the back, but there are many more of these in Peschici.

It might be a castle, the take away is the torture exhibition which is very impressive and make you realize we treated people very bad in the old days, i was very impressed by all the elements they showed. It is definitely an interesting stop with a view point to the see on an outside platform.
The attributes in the exhibition have Italian and English explanation boards.

The castle houses a museum of instruments of torture and punishment and the collection is both comprehensive and helpfully explained, with some of the signs in English. There is also a small viewing platform over the sea and the location is quite spectacular. Centrally located with a very reasonable entrance fee.

Rooms full of medieval and Renaissance torture devices. I found in town a woodcarver that made bowls and other objects carved from a variety of woods, more interesting. Came to photograph the views from the platform.

The castle was very interesting highlighting the various methods of torture in days gone by. Would not recommend this to people with young children as the articles are pretty gruesome. Very reasonably priced. Back packs had to be left at the entrance.

There is a small viewing platform and short path that give great views across the beach and over the nearby hills.
The castle contains an interesting collection of methods of torture from ancient times.
Entry price is minimal, making this a worthwhile place to spend an hour.

Very cool castle. There was an exhibit of torture devises at the time we were there which was very disturbing, yet interesting. Very nice views from the castle as well. Worth the walk up from the beach.
