Like a walk with a brilliant friend

David took us through the history of this beautiful and important city with a local’s affection and pride.His knowledge and love of the place are contagious and he answered dozens of questions about Orvieto and other things Italian. We loved lunching with him and talking food and wine and so much more. Highly recommended..

Walking Tour of Orvieto

David was an extraordinary tour guide. We learned so much about Orvieto, it’s people and it’s history that Orvieto feels like an old friend to us. David shared a wealth of important information in a fun and entertaining way, and we enjoyed having David include us in a chance encounter with the local historian sitting on a bench in the piazza during our walking tour.

Insightful, adventurous tour of Orvieto

What a wonderful full day tour! Filled with warmth, education and a great guide who knew everyone in town, making us feel like part of family. The storied history of Orvieto came alive as we sipped cappuccinos and ate the world's best gelato, all while listening to David, who has a vast knowledge of Italian history and has lived in Orvieto his entire life. David's humour and quick answers to all of our questions was the best history lesson of our trip - and then there was the wonderful lunch we all had together! Highly recommended!

David Tordi - The BEST (and most fun) Italy Guide!

We have been on 5 Tours in Europe Our two most enjoyable and memorable were led by David Tordi of Teseotur. The first was of Italian Hill towns. We were fortunate to have Orvieto, David's home town, on our Itinerary. David arranged to have his fellow band members join him for an excellent, private concert for our tour group. His knowledge of American culture as a multi year resident of Boston helped him to compare American and Italian social and governmental structures and customs. Needless to say, everyone in our tour group learned a great deal. We all "bonded" with David and left the tour considering him a friend. We were thrilled to tour with David a second time in Sicily. Again, his knowledge and skills as a guide made everyone in our group feel comfortable on the tour and we all enjoyed ourselves very much. If we return to Italy, we will seek to have David as our guide.

Informative tour of Duomo

David Tordi gave our group an exceptional tour of the Duomo. This had been on my "list to see" for a long time and I was not disappointed. In fact, David's explanation of the sculptures on the outside of the church and the detailed explanation of the frescoes on the inside exceeded my expectations. The Pieta, for me, was equal to Michelangelo's at St Peter. David's info regarding the artwork inside the church was outstanding. I love history and he can certainly bring it to life with his knowledge. i LOVED Orvieto so much and I think I was greatly influenced by a wonderful guide and host while visiting.

Our visit in Orvieto was the highlight of our trip to Italy.
Our tour guide Emanuela was very personable, knowledgeable. Truly fantastic. She made our visit a successful one and very memorable one as well.

We stayed in Orvieto for three nights, hiring Teseotur to take us on day trips & arrange meals, and what a wonderful experience it was! Elisabeta, Emanuela & Alessandro taught us SO much about Etruscan & Roman history! We walked Etruscan roads, hiked to fortified ancient cities, visited gorgeous lake Bolsena, and so much more. Sometimes travelers don't even know what they don't know; trust Teseotur to plan a magical vacation for YOU!

Excellent Walking Tour of Orvieto

Our guide was knowledgable, showed us the best sites, and had great historical stories about the area. He clearly had local knowledge and was relaxed and fun to listen to. He also did a great job reviewing other places in town that we could see in our spare time. We highly recommend this tour.

David Tordi was our wonderful guide on a 2016 tour of Italian villages. He was extremely knowledgeable, responsible, and great fun. We had a terrific group evening listening to his band. We especially enjoyed his side trip to Volterra, which became my most shown photo and discussion with friends and family after we returned home. We highly recommend any trip with David!
