Well worth he trip down into the caves with a guided tour. Very interesting history. Buy a combined ticket from the tourist information office. It is worth seeing as many of the site as you can. Works out cheaper.

The story of Orvieto and the rock and the caves and tunnels is very well presented and told in this tour. Just about one hour and engaging the whole time. It's only a couple of caves with a few artifacts, but definitely worth it for...More
