Il Duomo is a gem in itself. And inside you will find another gem, this chapel enriched by fresco paintings, statues and the beautiful painting Madonna dei Raccomandati by Lippo Memmi.

At this time, the "miracle cloth" is not displayed, and the chapel is restricted for those who wish to pray...you may look at the lovely frescoes inside, but you can't view them close up.

This side chapel in the Duomo is very much worth a visit. It has some confronting frescoes, but the artwork, atmosphere and spiritual experience is moving. The altar cloth is superb!
