For over eight centuries "Decugnano" has been used to indicate the name of the land of the estate. The soil rich in fossils, oysters and shells, the micro climate and a wide temperature range are all factors particularly suitable for wine growing. Beside a very modern cellar, the visitor has the possibility to admire the Etruscan caves, today utilized for the production of the sparkling wine "spumante" and to mature certain wines in barrels. Within spectacular scenery, the Estate organizes guided tours to their cellars followed by wine tasting and local delicacies. WE ARE OPEN! Saturday & Sunday

We had an absolutely amazing host called Anna, who made us feel welcome from the start. The trip through the winery and how they process the grapes in today's time was interesting. Loved the cellars in the caves and learning more about the production of the sparkling wines. Overall an excellent afternoon spent with the family - lots of laughter... More

We had a very interesting and educational tour on this beautiful place. Anna Rita, a very charming hostess guided us through the history of the wineyard, the sandstone caves and, finally, the tasting of the wines combined with the delicacies of the area. Not only was the tour very professionally arranged, the booking and contact with Anna Rita upfront the... More

We had a lovely afternoon with Anna where we learned about the wine-making process and tasted delicious wines. Anna is incredibly knowledgeable, very personable and went out of her way to make this a fantastic experience. Our family thoroughly enjoyed this experience: the tour, the wines and the foods. Anna Rita was a wonderful host. And as a bonus, we got to meet the owner, who could not have been more gracious.

Myself and 8 of my friends from Fordham university went to the vineyard for the wine and food pairing tour- it was incredible! The vineyard was beautiful and we were given a nice tour. The actual food and wine pairing was so fun! Our guide, Anna, was amazing. She was so kind and knowledgeable. We all ate SO much food!... More

We thoroughly enjoyed our time at this vineyard, and particularly the wine and food pairing. The tour of the winery was interesting and well-done. In addition to seeing the wine-making equipment and steel and oak casks, we had the extra special treat of seeing the sparkling wine being recorked. This winery uses the methode champenoise, meaning they ferment the sparkling... More

We visited this beautiful place on our honeymoon. Anna, who took the tour, was friendly and informative and we were able to look around the whole site, exploring the vinyard, cellars and caves (first carved out of the sandstone hill in the twelfth century). The sit-down wine tasting after this was superb and the local delicacies served along-side matched the... More

From the moment you step on the property, you're welcomed into a different way of living. We (two friends and I) were immediately greeted by Enzo Barbi, owner and son of founder Claudio Barbi. The website can give you all the facts, but suffice it to say, this was one of the best wine-tasting experiences I've ever had. Scratch that... More

Anna helped us set up this tour months before our visit to Orvieto. She gave a terrific tour of this beautiful winery. We tasted three wines, all good and had a nuce sampling of local meats, pecorino cheese, oil on bread and tomato bruschetta
