This walk is nice enough. It is flat but you can walk up to the St Claudio church if you want some uphill. There are farm animals and birds and squirrels. There is a river flowing alongside. the idea is great- follow the track of a former railway road. The scenery is nice (bit nothing more), but since the railway tracks (logically) followed more or less the road spoleto-norcia, you hear the whole time the humming and roaring of cars and motorcycles. The walk is also one way: you go 6 km up, and then you must return the same way back. Somewhat in the middle you can rest at a sad fishing pond.…

We took the bus from Norcia to Serravalle ( ten minutes), had a coffee and then proceeded back to Norcia on this almost flat walk and cycle way along the disused railway. It was a joy with an abundance of flowers, streams streams,farmland and an ambience that all is well with the world. I totally recommend for a half day,s entertainment. Incidentally with a helper this track would be suitable for those in a wheelchair.…
