Crazy wine cellar, lots of steep steps with slanting steps, that you need to hold the railing. But fun walking down and up, just the same. Such experiences as this are part of this wonderul town. A very friendly and kind Holland woman gave us...More
This was a great wine tasting experience and chance to see a wine cellar with huge barrels right in the city of Montepulciano. Serena, the hostess at the cellars, was very friendly and informative and spoke excellent English (HBO English is how she described it)....More
Didn't know what to expect and was blown away by it. Magnificent space. Thought I found a secret passage way into an unknown space. Also, enjoyed the very, very old Etruscan space that exists in this cellar. Amazing. Wine was good too!

We went here on an organised Tuscany tour and it was a really interesting and eye opening experience. We were given a tour underground through the cellars and then had a wonderful tasting with meats and cheeses. Well worth a visit

We had a wonderful time exploring Montepulciano and the Cantina de' Ricci was a highlight. We learned so much during our conversation with Selena about wine and the history of Tuscany. Will definitely return.
We were led down into this cellar on our 'Tours around Tuscany' tour with Gianni. While we are not drinkers, and not that interested in wine in general, it was interesting to see inside the cellar. Didn't need long in there though.
