Totally overhyped. The facility is nice and you do have a great view over the grapevine. However the service is really poor. We asked for a tasting and they were rather annoyed, since there were already two American groups with -lets summarize it- rather deep pockets. After waiting for about 20 minutes (which is totally fine) they were ready for us. However they only offered us a bar table with no chairs, even though there existed free tables + we were fully vaccinated. For me it is totally intolerable to stand during a overpriced wine tasting and without asking before and no food/snacks or guided tour. Furthermore we only got 4 glasses. Overall it seems like a touristic institution rather than an authentic Italian vinery. Safe your money + time.

We visited the winery during a week-long trip to the Umbria/Tuscany regions. It was our first winery in Montepulciano, so we had nothing to compare it to at the time, but after our week in the area, we were sorely disappointed. We arrived early afternoon and were greeted by an American-Italian gal, who facilitated our tasting. She told us most places in this particular town were closed due to a town festival, and it became clear very quickly that she wished her winery was closed as well. The wine was quite nice but the tasting experience was nothing special and not very welcoming. There are numerous other wineries I'd recommend before here.

We can see why this Winery has good reviews. There were 7 of us incl 2 teenagers. We booked ahead for a tour and tasting at 11am. Our hostess took her time with us and really showed a passion for her work. We tasted 5 of the Estates wines which were fantastic. Before we knew it was 12.30pm so we asked for a suggestion for lunch. This didn't disappoint. Thank you for everything.

That’s why you visit this area; to taste a quality glass of wine! And you can sure do that at this place. I would recommend booking a tour in advance since they like to keep groups small which helps with the quality of the tour and tasting. Very nice personal stories from Irish Carol and she was also super nice to our one year old!

in the midsty of sensational countryside this company errect a 1970s style building with little taste and respect for the village nearby. The wine was not very good either and the staff was unpolite.

Echoing the last review, my wife and I, with a small group of other guests, were given a tour by Jeniffer who gave an excellent overview of the winery and the wine-making process, Afterwards, we were met by Fabio who gave us an enthusiastic and super knowledgeable vertical tasting of all their wines -- from their table wine (Rosso) to their high end reserves.

Having been to many wineries both in the immediate region and Montalcino, I can attest that this was one of the better wine tours and tasting experiences for the following reasons:

First, on a practical level, the winery offered the tour and tasting, including an assortment of snacks for free - not all wineries do this for no cost. In fact, most wineries do charge, and most do not offer their full vertical selection of wines that Poliziano offered us. As a point in contrast, my wife and I went to La Braccesca winery last fall in the same area, not only did they offer us only their lower-end wines, they charged us what I would consider an exorbitant amount for the wine, which only costs them pennies. Talk about leaving a sour taste in ones mouth!

The second reason I would encourage a visit to Poliziano, and perhaps the most important, the wines are really good. And here let me return to point #1, by offering us their full range of wines to taste, it not only left us with a very positive impression of the winery, it encouraged us to purchase their wines, which we did. This goes to the old adage that sometimes you need to spend a little to make a lot. Poliziano obviously gets it; by offering an excellent tour and wine tasting experience they are making back their money in spades due to good publicity and enthusiastic followers.

My visit here was with a small group of 14. We were met by Jenny and Fabio who were excellent hosts. Jenny, although being from the states, was very knowledgeable of the wine making process of this winery. She gave us a very comprehensive tour and was so sweet to share some of her experiences in the area since moving to Italy.
We were served a delicious lunch with incredible wine pairings with each course.
My husband and I purchased a nice selection of the wines and can't wait to receive them!
This is a more contemporary style winery than the expected old world charm of others in the region but it did not lack in warmth and hospitality. One of the highlights of our trip.

We were two couples and absolutely loved this winery tour and wine tasting. The winery itself is in a beautiful setting with newly renovated wine tasting rooms. Our guide was extremely knowledgeable about the entire process from the vines to the cellar and then the tasting of the great wines. We are awaiting our case of wine from the winery and can’t wait to share it with special friends and family. Love Tuscany and this was a wonderful part of our visit to the region.

Thank you to Carol for an entertaining and informative afternoon! We went deep into the history of the region and the Sangiovese grape and technique. Poliziano is a lovely tasting room and a beautiful property, and the product is carefully crafed with passion and care — lovely. I did have a mixed case shipped home to Colorado, where we will enjoy memories of our visit many years hence, once the oenophile dictates we’ve reached perfection. Or, I many not wait that extra 5 years. Carol also kindly recommended we drive over for lunch La Guardiola in Monticchiello. Great suggestion; loved it. This was a winning afternoon...

We had no plans to visit Poliziano, but stopped in as we were passing by. We've visited countless wineries in the U.S., and probably a dozen in Italy. Fabio was not only passionate about the Poliziano wine, but shared his knowledge in such a way that we really learned a few things. The tasting was complimentary ... we didn't purchase any wine because we're at the beginning of a long trip, but it was one of the better wine tasting experiences we've had.
