The territory of the Reserve is characterized by homogeneity in the landscape and in the natural aspects of great importance at a global level, by the historical and cultural quality of the sites, by the presence of tourist settlements, of food and alimentary and artistic craftsmanship, by commercial activities, and by high-quality tourist services. Because of the calcareous nature of the peninsula, the area is characterized by karst phenomena leading to the formation of a considerable number of emerged cavities, which became underwater because of tectonic movements and of the raising of the sea level. Among the most spectacular ones there is the Grotta della Cala di Mitigliano in which, at not a very great depth, you can explore the charming world of the underwater dark caves.

Starting from the village of Termini, head down to Punta Campanella. The path has been recently renovated and leads down to the old roman temple of Minerva overlooking the bay. Abeautiful walk with spectacular views overlooking the bay of Naples and the bay of Salerno over towards the isle of Capri.

We walked from Santa Maria, via Termini, following a well-marked trail through olive groves, small towns, and finally down the stone pathway to the Punta Campanella. It was well worth the (mild) effort, even in the hot sun - the views are astonishing.

Started from Termini (easy to find) long walk down to punta canpanella. Last bit is not doable by strollers or people with walking impairment. Returned hiking on another route straight uphill. Strenuous hike, well signed out, but only doable with proper footwear and solid physical condition. Rewarded with cooling winds and panoramic views over Capri and both sides of the peninsula.

Wonderful place to hike all year round or late evening (in August, because of the heat).
Be sure to get some maps from the Tourist Office in Massa Lubrense or directly in Termini, at the small ceramics shop right in the center.

Very pleasant experience on board the "Scorfanella", well managed by AMP. Friendly and competent staff, they provide snorkeling masks, very useful during the 3 stops planned for swimming. I swam in transparent waters, difficult to reach otherwise.
Great value for money, highly recommended.

Go with 1 boat of 10 meters Sunday, June 30, 2024! That was crazy! Until last summer 20 euros and you stayed all day! Ora tutto cambiato! Found 1 mark free with fatigue anchored after 2 hours comes the boat and tells us the news! Boats like ours mandatory under the mountain and goes in the shade at 16! Fuori Barche grandi! Price 7 resident plus non-resident! But who must be resident the master who drives? And resident where? Whole peninsula? Boh! When asked how do you determine arrival time? Boh! Payment with app but in Nerano there is no signal!! On the midday courier a thousand unnecessary justifications concluding that the place is beautiful everything is expensive have adjusted the prices! Well for us the sea is great we do not need them! Di fianco ci si ancora gratis! On this coast they always try to make everything complicated! Too bad for them!

I took part in a tour aboard the Scorfanella in the Punta Campanella Marine Protected Area and the experience was fun and immersive.
During the tour, we had the opportunity to admire the beauty of our coast. The snorkeling activities were a real highlight, allowing us to explore the crystal clear waters and observe the rich marine flora and fauna up close.
The news about the past and the local myths narrated by the staff made us appreciate even more the beauty and historical importance of this protected area.

I passionately Recommendation the tour of the marine protected area, on the comfortable and welcoming boat "Scorfanella", managed directly by the Marine Area. It's about seven hours of sailing in timeless scenery, with three stops for swimming in blue and emerald green waters. Mythical places, where you seem to be able to see, at any moment, the mermaids. From poetry to prose: so much beauty for only 70 euros.

Very positive experience for our guided boat tour in the Marine Protected Area of Punta Campanella.

We were greeted with professionalism by the crew from the moment we boarded.
The tour took us through ten stops, each with its own history and wonders. We admired the remains of ancient Roman villas, snorkeled in the Bay of Ieranto and swam among the many marine species present.
Sailing between the two gulfs of Naples and Salerno, overlooking Positano and the Faraglioni of Capri, was a real sight. Every moment of the tour was taken care of in every detail, ensuring a slow and more sustainable tourism experience that allowed us to fully appreciate the beauty and importance of these places.
It was very easy to book through the official site of the park and the price (70 euros for non-residents) is absolutely in line for such a suggestive and rich visit, especially compared to what other tours offer.
We will definitely return!
