Boat Excursion to Capri Island: Small Group from Sorrento

193 reviews
A boat tour around Capri is the perfect way to discover the island at a relaxed pace sharing the happiness with a small group of people ( max 12) on board. We will pick you up with a free shuttle to your hotel and we will leave from the port of Massa Lubrense sailing under the coast towards Capri with a first stop at the Marciano natural waterfall to take some amazing photos,to show later to your friends once you'll be back home, and take a refreshing bath. We will continue towards Cala di Mitigliano and Punta Campanella, the extremity of the Sorrento Peninsula to arrive in Capri welcomed by the Salto di Tiberio, a precipice overlooking the sea, and Villa Jovis immediately followed by the "Grotta del Corallo" and the "Grotta Bianca". The tour will continue sailing towards the Faraglioni Rocks, the Natural Arch of Capri and Villa Malaparte. The first part of the tour will end with a stop for a swim in Marina Piccola with a view of the Faraglioni, before a landing on the island for a stop of about 4 hours. On board we will provide you a packed lunch with vegetarian sandwich and beverages! The return journey is approximately 40 minutes, a free shuttle to the hotel will be waiting for you at the port.

We visited in October, using the public bus from St Agata which was cheap and easy, with wonderful views. Off season it was quiet, with only a few sunbeds and we shared the beach with a dozen or so people. (Apparently it can be very busy during peak season.) There were several bars / restaurants open for lunch, all with lovely views. The scenic walk around the headland to Recommone Beach takes about 20 minutes, but there are rocky sections so it's not really suitable for young children or those with mobility issues. Recommone is slightly sandy, compared with the pebbbles at Marina del Cantone, so may be a better option if you want to swim.

if you follow the coast to the left you come to a rough track that leads down to a lovely seclude cove where there s a restaurant and a private club style hotel. Big yachts bring their wealthy passengers over by little tender - lovely uniform security staff. Worth seeing. All Italians here. lovely

The place is average to say the least. It is a pebble beach so difficult to get to water. Deckers and umbrellas 5 EUR each. Parking - the one close to beach 15 EUR. It might easily turn to an expensive day.

Great little beach in an out of the way cove on the Amalfi Coast. From here you can also catch a boat or ferry to Capri, Sorrento, Positano, or Amalfi. There are great bars for after beach hang outs as well as great restaurants. One of the most famous restaurants on the Amalfi Coast is here...Lo Scoglio. A caveat!!! Take beach shoes with you. The beach is not made of sand, but pebbles. So if you walk barefoot on it it feels like walking on Legos.

Marina del Cantone is an oasis on the Amalfi coast. A throw back in time. Winding roads lead to this cove/beach town. The pebble beaches give way to the warm waters of the Mediterrean. We rented a VRBO house that was fabulous. There are several restaurants for dinner. Lo Scoglio was our favorite. Boat services that run to Capri, Sorrento and Amalfi. S. Antonio boat service is the best. It's a great launching point to see the Amalfi by water. The people are warm and friendly. There is parking but it is limited. We had a driver bring us there and took the bus to Sorrento. Overall, I highly recommend this town.
