We arrived at about lunchtime due to the fact that we were not staying closeby and wanted to combine the travel there with a boat ride across lago di Garda from Riva. Big mistake as by that time the queues were literally out of control....More

Amazing panorama views. The cable car is a great event it’s self as a way to see everything. The top has cafe’s and tourist information. Lovely place to visit.

This was our 5th or 6th visit to Monte Baldo and it won’t be our last. Get there early to miss the queues. The restaurants at the top are great and the views stunning.

The cable car takes you up, allowing you to hike/trek around the surrounding area, or just to admire the views around the cable car station and nearby view points. You have a great vantage point to look down over the lake and the surrounding area....More

It is an overpriced trip for the short time spent in cars. Most of time was spent queing with cars overcrowded. Disappointed with length of waiting times to get down from mountain (1.5 hrs). Viewing on mountain was lovely but long waits spoiled the visit.

There are several ways to purchase tickets for the cable car. This time we saw an all day bus pass which included tickets to the cable car. The leaflet is misleading!! The bus ticket allows you to get discount on the ticket for the cable...More

Took the cable car up at around 5pm, and down at 6.30pm. No queues to get up but about 30 mins+ coming down again, probably due to it being the 2nd to last car down off the mountain. Tickets cost 15euros return, WELL worth it....More

This place is so good everybody wants to go. With good reason too. Get there before 9am or you’ll have to wait too long. Spectacular views, unique diverse Alpine flora. Take a good camera or you’ll wish you did. Really, a lifetime memory

Yes you can hike up and get the cable car down, you can buy a ticket at the top for one way journey. I did this in 2016 and price was 10euro down. Would highly recommend the hike up. The scenery is stunning all of the way up... More

Staying in Torbole for 2 days and want to try skiing nearby! (2 Replies)
Hi Can anybody advise me where is a good place to go Skiing for 2 days at the end of February. I thought we'd try Monte Baldo and pre-book lessons but I have emailed the Monte Baldo ski school a few times about pre-booking lessons and renting skis but had no replies, so I phoned them and was told to email them and still they won't reply so I am giving up and thinking they may be somewhere else within a hour of Torbole we can try? I am going with my husband and 6 year old son and we are...More

Welcome to customer service Italian style... Unfortunately, you don't have many alternatives nearby, except for Pinzolo/Madonna di Campiglio, which is relatively close (approx 60 km), but quite complicated to reach by public transport from the lake.

A few Monte Baldo cable car questions (2 Replies)
Hi, First visit to Malcesine and we're planning on going up Monte Baldo with the cable car. * Is there a good website to see the weather forecast (less interested in the temperatures, but more how clear the view is up top) for Monte Baldo? * Is there a website to see live updates on how crowded the queue lines for the cable car are? * We will be travelling with a baby and a stroller - will it be difficult to travel on top with a stroller? and if so - is there a possibility to...More

Thanks for the info! Grass should be fine, I just hope the paths on the top aren't too rocky.
