A wedding was being held in the castle during my visit and what a magnificent setting for it. I climbed to the very top turret and the views were well worth the climb.

We went there in the morning, the best time in June would be mornings- not so many people inside and not so hot. A lot of walking up and down, however it is worth the views you'll get to enjoy. It is located right on...More

Excellent historical site right in the centre of town. Lots of steps so be warned but the view from the tower is worth it (even if the bell can catch you out!). Lovely display of boats and ships on the lake

Pleasantly surprised by this attraction. The castle building itself provides magic views over the surrounding Lake Garda and over the tiled roofs of Malcesine. The rooms inside it are packed full of high quality exhibits covering the history of the castle, its various owners and...More

Nice place to spend a couple of hours. The view from the tower is great and I enjoyed the museum inside the castle.

We got married in the castle earlier this month. The castle is absolutely stunning with breathtaking scenery. We didn't want to leave! We organised our big day through Lake Garda Weddings who were absolutely amazing. If anyone is thinking of getting married here you need...More

If you have time, stop by. The hi lite for the adults was the views and the main attraction for kids were the natural history exhibits (on loan from the museum in Verona?). The little Goethe exhibit was also interesting. The bonus attraction is the...More

As Paul said, your best bet is the Sirmione ferry. With a day ticket, you could even carry on up to Riva and back down again in the same day to see the full lake from the water. It is also possible to hire a private boat... More

The castle is in the town right on the edge of the lake. The cable car to the top of Monte Baldo is near the tourist information place in Malcesine. The 2 attractions ate only a few minutes walk away, although many of the... More
