It's worth popping in here for a breath of lakeside fresh air. There was an art exhibition when we visited and it has a beautiful garden terrace. Worth a brief visit and it's free.

The Palazzo is a beautiful building , which hosts events such as art exhibitions and concerts. The gardens are lovey and have stunning views over the lake . Plus it's home to a family of cats who I fed every day , making our holiday even more special .

One of the most beautiful buildings in Malcesine, this was the residence of the Captain of the Lake and has a lovely garden with great views

From a double door to the street you walk through to a gorgeous hall with painted ceiling leading to an arched door framing a perfect view of Lake Garda.

Through the arched door you are greeted by a delightful garden With quiet places to sit and absorb the view.

Charming.

As you step in from the entrance on the narrow street it opens up into a very large open room with painted ceiling. From the garden at the back you can see the full size of this property. A beautiful place just to sit and relax. There is a small cafe in the garden tucked in one corner. Delightful...

Historical building. Free admission. Good for photographers. Beautiful little court yard on lake with shade and benches for resting. Peaceful just listening to water lapping on the steps to the lake.
Actual building very nice and cool. There were not many people there. Large hall with interesting mural and steps but no captain's table .

This year the 1st floor is also open with an interesting display of photos from the 1920s. It's a nice stop over in between shopping or eating.

We wandered in to the Captains house one evening to find a harpist playing and an art exhibition available - this is a beautiful space with garden access to the lakeside.

Lovely old mansion house which was used by the 'Captain of the Lake'. Interesting architecture plus some really good exhibitions. While we were there they had old photographs of holidaymakers and a collection of stamps from around the world commemorating the Olympics. Also a beautiful garden, where you can go for free on music nights.

On entering you come down a few short steps and….. WOW. Our visit was one we will never forget! This was such a beautiful place to visit, we sat and talked and watched the boats go by. Beautiful Palace and views. The flowers are so pretty too! Don’t miss out on visiting if you are in Malcesine.
