I snowboard all around the world and I’d give this place 0 stars if it was possible. Arrived and paid for passes, just warming up, down the slope 3 times. Then told we had to go back down due to the wind. Ok, I’m fine with that, it happens and you can’t predict the weather. I went up to the desk to get my refund as I’d literally just got there. I was told there was no refund policy. Literally doesn’t happen anywhere else. I’ve been snowboarding Stelvio Pass all summer and whenever they had to close early, I got a pass for the next day free of charge. Just shocking customer service. I’d use expletives, but I don’t want this review to get deleted. I was here for the long weekend, but I’ll be going to St Moritz instead. 0 stars out of 5.

Carosello 3000 is another important ski and mountain bike resort in Livigno. The brochure for Livigno Card 2014 states that Carosello cable car operates from June 28.
However, this summer the cable car operation was launched on Saturday, July 5. Anyway discount was rather symbolic (1 EUR). No indicators of hiking trails at the top station.
At the top was still lots of snow The station is presented as a modern facility equipped with many amenities such as bars, cafeterias, large sun terrace and an elegant restaurant "La Stuvetta" with stunning views of Livigno. Capacities calculated with the winter rush of visitors. Modern sanitary facilities.
Mountains in 3000 Carosello offer lovers of walks many impressive alpine routes. Starting with the easy or flat trails that pass in the shadow of the forest, to alpine walks, where you can admire a unique panorama on the valley floor where everyone can find a suitable route for the desired level of performance. Known is output to Monte delle Rezze, crossing over the ridge Vet la Blesaccia to mountain hut Costaccia or a descent into a beautiful valley Federia.
First, we taken the path on the ridge Vet la Blesaccia , we are relishing views to of several mountain ranges with peaks over 3000 m (Monte delle Rezze, Monte Campaccio,Monte Gotchen,Pizzo Cassana,Piz Saliente) and a deep valley Fedaria,on the other side Livigno and moutains around Motollino.
After visiting the restaurant we went on a long descent through the Val Federia. We carefully descended the snow to the lake Salin (the fishing competition in August). On the left we saw the valley station of the chairlift as an example that there preferred winter skiing business before nature protection. Another descent has been steeper, the trail was rocky, uneven at times and places "treacherous" terrain, sometimes it crossed the mountain streams. Path crosses the typical Alpine fields, rich in flowers and plants to the Cheseira da Fedaria. We took a short break for refreshments and observed a herd of cows and horses on pasture.
From here, we followed the road which crossed the Val Federia. Along the way we observed marmots.
At the crossroads to the cottage Cassano us confused the name of the cottage ( In the local dialect the Rif. Casciana). There were caution that the cottage is closed.
Near the "Fontanon" we turned off the road for a romantic path for pedestrians only that leads to "Bocheta da Casciana” and then through a mountain pine woods. The path led along the stream, no taxi-hikers and bikers ! From here one will then be able to enjoy the beauty of Alpine fields and forests which continues up to the arrival point: Ponte Calcheira, just a steps away from the bus stop. The bus dropped us off right in front of hotel. Good service for tourists!

There is a great choice of slopes and ski lifts, nice restaurant with a good choice of meals and drinks (try bombardino :)). If the sun is shining it is even more pleasurable. I deffo recommend you visiting this place! :)

The aprés-ski here is great. Also the food during lunch is always wonderfull. People working here also try to make your time the best you had, even if it is just a bar / restaurant.

Carosello 3000 is on the top of Livigno, in a sunny and wonderful position from whom you have a wonderful mountains sight. From there you have several difficulties of ski slopes, it's up to you the choice. All the sky tows are just on the back of the hotels or restaurants and all them are connected each other. We go there every years, cost of a daily ticket is 40 euro.

If you prefer skiing on wide slopes (difficulty red) than Carosello is great choice. There is also enough restaurants where you can rest and drink after hours of skiing.

Are the dogs allowed to travel by cable car? if yes ehat is the price or condition?
Written April 25, 2018
I wrote to carosello directly and the answer is:
Hello Veronika,
Â
sure, you can take your dog in the gondola.
Once you’re at the top, It’s important to keep him on a leash while running free can be dangerous for the skiers and for himself.
Â
Kind regards

Hi
This is our first time skiing in Livigno and we know nothing about the resort. Someone has mentioned that there are two ski areas? Is that correct? If so, how do they differ?
We plan to travel in March. We prefer to choose a hotel that is within easy walking distance to ski lifts so can you advise on areas that we should look at? Ideally we want to be close to the village for evening and the slopes for day. Thanks Roisin

Hi there! Livigno is the ideal ski destination and there are bus services from early until 8pm so you can get to any ski area easily. Mottilino has a big variety of slopes(blue to black) and restaurants on the slopes. There are a lot of other ski areas, you will find good info on google. The town is pretty much walking distance from all areas, but I will recommend trying to get a hotel/ apartment more towards central town if you enjoy the night vibe. Enjoy!!!

Hi All,
I am new to the ski field. I have taken lesson in a snowdome bofore. I want to do it outdoors and I have seen that Livigno is a good place to go.
I would like to know if I should book sort of lessons when I get there or in advanced? Also,I would like to know about prices, packages, etc.
Please let me know.
Thanks
Juan
