Mottolino is truly a fun mountain. There is a blue run of almost 6kms from the very top of the mountain to the very bottom. The slopes and skiing do not disappoint, nor do the numerous restaurants positioned throughout the mountain, which are pricey but good. This year we got to watch a bit of the World Rookie Snowboarding Champs which took place at the Mottolino snowpark.

We spent 1 week for snowboarding in Livigno and enjoyed Mottolino much better than other ski areas in Livigno. Mainly because of variety of wide and good prepared slopes. Both of us, beginner with 1 year experience and advanced with 10+ years of experience were able to find perfect slopes for us and did not spend half day for searching each other. Big success and 5 stars for Mottolino ;-)

We were lucky with the snow conditions, but like the 'other side' of Livigno, there are excellent (i.e. not too easy) red runs all over the mountain. If you're a blue run skier there probably isn't much for you...

It is great place to learn and practise, well signed, mantained. You cat take guide, buy your pictures and of course enjoy good lunch on sunny terrace...
Only pitty is that there is no good deal for those who want to bike several days, but with dome days off as to ride each day is little bit too much, it is better then to buy day by day

Great skiing at the end of April. Off the sun side of the mountain has very good snow conditions even in wam days. There wasn't a lot of skiers, so I can ski free like a bird on the sky.
I like to come to Mottolino.
Bad points:
- very old lift to Monta Neve
- gondola to Mottolino from Livigno isn't comfortable (you have to stay in it)
- ski piste was not prepared very good on some (rare) locations - end of season.

Where is the nearest airport to the ski resort? Thinking of going there in a couple weeks so would be good to know about it so we don’t get lost.

Buona sera

Is there anything for young children 2 years
Written March 2, 2015
Livigno is great for small children. The Fun park they have keeps children occupied for ages. There are restaurants right there and it is at the bottom of a red slope so there is lots to see and do while the children play and are entertained. There is also a small petting farm at the bottom of Mottolino. Children and dogs are really catered for in Livigno!!
