Looked a little run down before season starte
Apr 2019 • Family
Certainly there are better beaches. Baia Blu has small stones in the sea which isnt as nice as some oft the sandy beaches close by. I would rather recommend going to Lerici and San Terenzo. The whole bar and area looked run down but maybe just owned to the pre-season we have been visitig this place. Everyone was still working on renovations.

Nice beach with not easy access
Jul 2018 • Family
The beach on its own is nice. The public part is small but not over-crowded. The paid part is bigger yet expensive for everyday stay. The access is thru paid-part parking that can get busy. You cannot use car for drop off. The road is steap and the way back demanding.

Fantastic
Jul 2018 • Family
After accidentally finding ourselves driving in the ZTL the previous day heading to a beach in Lerici, we were trying to find parking outside the ZTL when we decided to follow signs for Baia Blu beach. And we are so glad we did. It has two sections, private and public. Both are beautiful but I strongly suggest paying for the private section as it also will give you access to all of the facilities at Baia Blu including the wonderful infinity pool. For only approx. 30 euros we had access for 4 plus a beach chair and spent a wonderful day in a spectacular location with a resort feel. And although the beach has small pebbles, it is WAY more pleasant, and equally as beautiful as the very rocky beaches available at much higher prices in Cinque Terre which we also visited. And the view and beautiful pool make it a better choice than the Lerici beaches.

Apparently I got the wrong Baiu blu and the owner ( director ) has asked me to make it known ( surprisingly as I gave it 5 star , )anyway it's ristorante baia blu which I gave a super review and 5 star to , glad that's sorted , oh I popped in to see the one I'd mistaken for and now give it 4 star , sorry for the misunderstanding 😉

Expensive, messy, unfriendly: avoid
Jun 2017 • Friends
It used to be a lovely spot, which required a little walk to end up in a free stretch of beach.
It is now messy, with virtually no free beach left, totally ruined by horrible constructions and concrete slabs. Now the beach hosts loads of umbrellas and deck chairs, almost on top of each other (no need to bring something to read, you can peek at your neighbor's book!). The lifeguards are most unfriendly and aggressive: by law in Italy people are allowed to walk and stop on any beach as long as one stays near the sea: the lifeguards tried to refuse us entry (we were only walking...) until we politely reminded them that the law was with us.... And even so they were aggressive and verbally abusive.
There is even a horribly looking swimming pool virtually on the beach, which looks much out of place, in a location which was fascinating for the colours and the surrounding environment - the word we would use in old times was "magic" - but the magic is gone forever, badly, replaced by concrete and buildings.
Expensive: a simple salad with some tuna fish and 2 small bottles of water costed 12 euros, which is definitely a lot.
Bottom line: avoid. If in search of a place with services, and if ready to pay for them, other spots are cheaper, better, less crowded.

So, so...

Comparing to nearby Lerici sewage flowing waters, thus one was acceptable. Avoid weekends, it is too crowded. The sand is actually a gravel.

Good food and good prices
Jul 2016 • Friends
Very good food in high portions. We had seafood and pizza and everything was delicious. The terrace is also nice and big, with sea view.

Nice Beach
Aug 2015 • Couples
Nice beach, lovely clean water and good faciities. I rented a beach lounger and an umbrella for 19 Euro for the day. You can rinse off with fresh water after swimming, and there is a casual restaurant there.

Better the walk than the beach
Jul 2015 • Couples
The path to go there from San Terenzo is a nice walk, with nice view from the top of the hill. However, the beach was not so impressive and too crowded for us. But very well equipped if you like this kind of places.

A paradise...
Jun 2015 • Family
....with all the comforts you decide to have.

A little paradise where you can manage what to do depending on your budget: free beach and ice-cream at the bar or sunbed, umbrella and meal at the restaurant.
Parking is up on the street or you can reach the private park near the beach.

The bay is amazing, best periods, in my humble opinion, are May/early June or September.
Sea is very clear and clean, and swimming pools are available as well.
It's quite small, but you can find beach of stones, sand and grass (upstairs).

The view is something stunning and the main structure and the beach are accessible by limited mobility persons (wheelchair) because of available ramps, elevator and plastic path on the sand.
