this is a small beach, in Lerici, where You pay 35 EUR for 2 seats and 1 umbrella, overcrowded, unfriendly staff, small snacks offered / not included in the price of course/, but there are not too many options around in fact.. we went once and we will not repeat

We went to the Lerici beach as recommended by our hostelier. After a 30 minute bus drive from La Spezia, we arrived at the beach. The beach area Lido di Lerici has a good sand beach. We paid approx 35 Euro for 2 sun beds and an umbrella, which I think is expensive. But we enjoyed the sun and the water there.

I was here with my family on the very last day of the season (end of September). The weather was great (temperatures around 26-27°C, very sunny). There were very few people, very few facilities, but the bar restaurant was still providing nice food and the sea gulls were the kings of the beach.
Great experience: I had never been at Lido so late in the year before, always in summer. But this period of the year offers a wonderful and quiet relaxing time!

The Lerici Lido has the air of a bygone era! You almost wait to see the grand Dames to have their hats and fancy swimming costumes. Although, today's beach life is a bit different with girls in tiny bikinis. Rich Italians buy their season tickets from year to year, costing a fortune. If you want to get one, you would probably need to wait a long time.
Getting a day pass. If you are not there by 9 am you will probably told that it is fully booked. Than you look onto the empty rows of dark blue beds and ask 'How come? Then you are told that those empty beds are reserved for the owners.
Once you are lucky enough to get in having paid a princely sum, you will be shown to your bed and start the day. It goes like this.
Stroll up to the restaurant and have an espresso with a small pannini.
Go back to your luxurious bed and rest, read and enjoy the scenery, which is breath-taking as the Lido looks over Lerici Castle this side and Portovenere on the other side of the bay.
A very warm and shallow water is waiting for you with golden sand. The water is so clean, you can hardly believe it. They proudly have the 'Banderia Blu' badge, which is awarded to clean beaches on a yearly basis. Lots of children and granny's are enjoying the shallow end. You can go further in and have a good swim. Lunch is a light salad, pizza. The afternoon is spent by reading and enjoying the beautiful scenery and of course the sun set is perfect! Now as for the facilities, they are cleaned non-stop. The golden sand is raked and cleaned every morning and after the day everything is washed down and left in perfect order for the next day!
It is a joy to use this special place and appreciate its position, water quality and its services

Clean beach with some sunbeds but also there is a huge amount of space for non-sunbed people (like us). Clean, clear water with good views over the bay and the surrounding hills.

Clean sandy beach with clear warm water perfect for a dip or even a snorkel. I was swimming here during the last week of October and have always found Lerici to be 4 or 5 degrees C higher than other inland towns and villages. Toilets, changing cabins, showers and sunloungers available only until mid september. During the short Italian Ligurian seaside season for beachgoers, there are a couple of friendly beach cafes open
where you can sit and watch the elegantly dresses trendy Ligurians walking their pooches and relish in a lunch of home cooked torta verdura or a freshly made foccaccia sandwich whilst taking in the summer sun.
Convenient nearby parcheggio a short walk away at 2 euro hourly in june till end september, though charges decrease to just 1 euro hourly thereafter and you may park along the promenade in late autumn, winter and springtime.. I

I love Lerici and its surroundings but I would never spent a day on this beach. I spent several hours on my towel near the sunsettime and it was ok but nothing special. I came here only to see the castle in sunset rays and it was ok but I didn't have any inclination to become a customer of this beach club. It is expensive and overcrowded and taking that much money for an unbrella they still take 5 eurocents for the hot water in shower. The overall impression is bad. You need to go very far to start swim and you still swim near the boats.

I'm the kind of person who loves my own towel and normally I don't spend money on sun beds e.g.
We really didn't have that many alternatives in Lerici (we didn't wanted to drive) so after studying TripAdvisor for a bit we decided on this one...
And yeah, the sun beds + entrance + a beach umbrella costed us 36€ but wow: The beach! 👌🏼
The water was crystal clear, calm and the sand so fine!
It's without a doubt one of the nicest beaches I've been to.
(There's a lot of people but it was not cramped like a lot of other beaches).

Good beach, although more expensive this ensured it was less crowded. Very clean water and good views over the bay.

Our biggest regret was coming to the Lido on our one beach day in Lerici. Oh MY goodness, I have never seen so many children in my entire life. The beach in June was so packed (keep in mind it's very small, too), that there were HUNDREDS of kids running around and screaming, knocking our things over, crying, etc. Kids are fine...just not that many. And not when we thought we were going to have a relaxing day. We figured out why though: most kids get in free. Which explained the family that set up right next to us with SIX young children. It's a fantastic option for families and people with children because it's inexpensive, nice, and the food is very reasonably priced (and you can bring your own food and beverage--there's even a picnic area). However, if you do not have little ones, STEER CLEAR. I can't stress that enough. Especially on the weekends....especially during the summer. After listening to the newborn shrieking next to us for a solid two hours, we packed up, snapped a picture of the sunset, and called it a day. I will never return. Spend the extra money at Eco del Mare or another private beach. It'll be worth every penny. I wish someone had warned us!
