What a lovely park close to downtown. By entering the place you can see statues of important people who built the city and its history over the time. Walk in here is awsome, so much green and flowers to see specially on spring time. There are a lot of spots to sit and watch birds all around. All that for free. The fountain is also a place where kids have. Great experience.…

As above, really nice for a quick regeneration. You won't find many attractions there, but it is perfect for 5-10 minutes break. Restored? Nice, now go back to see rest of the chapels in Lecce :)

A large urban park located just outside the Centro Storico district, named for Giuseppe Garibaldi. There are four entrances into the park, the main being across the street from Palazzo dei Celestini. Located inside are wide boulevards lined with trees and benches, for sitting. In the center is a pavilion, of 8 columns surmounted by a green enameled dome and a stone cross. Located around the park are busts of famous Salento individuals. There is a large 2-section fountain, with a short bridge and neoclassical buildings. There is also a large monument to Garibaldi. This is a great place to sit, relax, and enjoy a little solitude from the city.…
