This museum on Via degli Ammirati is now partly open. It's close to the Church of Santa Chiara and is housed in the old convent attached to the church, founded in 1410, which has been beautifully renovated as a contemporary art museum. There is a...More

Small but quaint museum. The building was very clean and spacious, and the exhibitions were very varied with different types of art. Some of the rooms were a bit empty. Feels like the place has some potential, and quite a lot of the objects on...More

Currently housing a display of modern art and sculpture, rather than history of the city. We enjoyed our visit, including the view of the Roman theatre.

This is mostly a display of modern sculpture and paintings. There is however a very interesting 3D film about the neighbouring Roman Theatre. It made me appreciate what a magnificent building it must have been and that the part remaining only starts to tell the...More

Took a tour of this museum and found its many rooms housing a variety of displays in multiple media. Some were quite intriguing and interesting but I thing more appreciated by those with an artistic bent. Our artist friend who was with us seemed to...More

This is clearly a complete waste of money. The building is only partially open with workmen pretending to work everywhere. Almost nothing to see but the guy at the ticket desk was friendly. Give this place a miss as you are wasting your money.

Afraid I did not get Must. Not enough art to satisfy the €2.50 entrance fee. When we visited there was a conference on and seemed that they closed much of it down

Visiting Lecce for a month, we tried to visit this museum on a number of times, but it always seemed to be closed. We finally did get to visit, and after a confusing introduction by an attendant, we began our tour. The first room did...More

This is a lovely little museum in the center of town. I strongly recommend it to any visitor to Lecce, if for no reason other than when you first enter, you are treated to three short 3D films about the history of a few of...More
