An amazing sight! The restoration is going well and the Basilica looks stunning. This is worth a trip in its own right as incredible example of Baroque. Could have spent hours looking at the facade alone. An absolute highlight of Lecce.

Such a beautiful church. The outside is amazingly ornate. We were wowed by seeing this church, however the scaffolding which has been in place for ages remains! If photography is your thing, you'll be a little disappointed.

This is my other favorite site in Lecce. The architecture is gorgeous. Also the interior is beautiful. It was lovely to keep passing in front to see it at different times of the day in different light. It's a pity there was a bit of scaffolding on the outside since they are fixing part of it

You can't believe all this artistic work in locale stone, how great inspiration hides inside its core. The famous rosetta is still a wonder of human's capacity.

Baroque art dominates Puglia's art, Santa Crocce may be considered the pinnacle of it. The delicate marble mosaic that cover almost every inch of the church is just amazing.

You walk into this place and you can hardly believe what you're seeing. What strikes you most is the level of detail that has been crafted into the stone infrastructure. It's quite unbelievable to to think that a human is cable of achieving that in the late 1600's. You need to see this if you're visiting Lecce.

I strictly recomend people to whom visit Puglia to drop by Lecce even in a short while and add Santa Croce to their personal experiences

The basilica has a very interesting facade which it is worth having a guide explain its significance to you. Within the detail can be found the benefactors name and other historical information.
