That Ariosto funded construction of his own home is proudly proclaimed the masonry above the entrance. Ferrara's great literary son lived and worked here, so it is certainly worth a visit. But the interior is a little lacking in atmosphere

This is a lovely small Home which opens on to a long garden I imagine it would have been a very comfortable place to live. Free entry.

Very small house, but fit for purpose, as described outside "parva sed apta mihi". Hardly any furniture, few interesting pieces (look at the medals, with engravings of the bees and of the snakes - and read the notices that explain them ..) and explanations which give a good idea of the real life of the great poet, the everyday issues... More
