Beautiful and mighty construction from the Middle Ages, built by the Malatesta dynasty.
The entrance to the fortress is free inside there is a bar with outdoor tables. The summer fortress often hosts events and exhibitions such as the beautiful Jazz by the sea festival ".
Perhaps it could also be interesting to renovate the walkways and internal rooms of the fortress

When walking around Fano, this is a must visit place, full of architecture and so much history, and so photogenic.

Fano is a train stop that holds more surprises than expected. Take some time to walk around the town and stop into Rocco Malatestiana to look back into the Roman Era.

Although the rocca's always are impressive for their robustness, it reminds us of times where tyrant oppressors build these forts mostly for oppressing the population. These rocca's are still spectacular, therefor 4 out of 5.

The current castle is from the middle of the 15.th century. The castle was taken over by the Papal troops in 1463, this was the practical end of the Malatesta domination in the city.
