The Church of Colfosco is small but ancient as it dates back to the early fifteenth century although then expanded over the centuries. Later the onion makeover of the bell tower. Schöne in der Ortsmitte gelegene Kirche. Während unserer Wanderung vom Grödner Joch zurück nach Colfosco an der Chiesa di Colfosco vorbeigekommen. Ist einen Besuch wert.

Nel paese di Colfosco tra Corvara ed il passo Gardena. nel centro storico più antico dell'abitato di Colfosco, ai piedi del Sassongher trovate la piccola Chiesa dedicsta a San Vigilio: un piccolo gioiello gotico nel cuore dell'Alta Badia da vedere. Non molto ricca piuttosto oscura ma bella.

Dedicata a San Vigilio questa chiesa del primo Quattrocento si distingue per le armoniose linee tardogotiche le quali, malgrado i rimaneggiamenti succedutisi nel tempo, hanno conservato una considerevole unità stilistica.
Di sobria eleganza anche l'interno con volte a crociera e alcune opere degne di nota, tra cui pregevoli statue e dipinti, l'altare maggiore e il pulpito.
Incantevole ed aperto il magnifico scenario dolomitico che letteralmente avvolge la chiesa.

La chiesa parrocchiale di San Vigilio a Colfosco, in tedesco Kolfuschg, è nota non solo in Alta Badia, bensì è famosa ben oltre i confini dell'Alto Adige. Questo tuttavia non tanto grazie ai suoi tesori d'arte, ma grazie alla splendida vista panoramica che offre.
Semplicemente da sogno: così è l'immagine di sé che offre a tutti quelli che passano per la strada per il Passo Gardena questa chiesa di montagna tardogotica con il suo grazioso campanile a cipolla e sullo sfondo l'imponente Massiccio del Sella.

Questa bella chiesa tardogotica di origini molto antiche, dedicata a San Vigilio, si distingue per la notevole coerenza stilistica che ha mantenuto sebbene più volte rimaneggiata. A renderla inconfondibile è anche l'elegante campanile con la tipica cuspide a bulbo. L'aula interna, pur non possedendo opere d'arte di spicco, custodisce dipinti e arredi di buona fattura. Ma il valore aggiunto è dato dal contesto ambientale circostante, con il quale la chiesa forma un quadro d'insieme davvero incantevole.

in questa stupenda chiesetta giusto un anno fa, 03 giugno 2017, mi sono sposato.
una scelta fatta anni prima, frequento la Val Badia dal 1982, l'incanto di questi luoghi a fare da cornice, l'atmosfera che regnava all'interno appena ridipinto.....tutto fantastico, una giornata e un luogo che porto e porterò sempre dentro di me.......e un grazie a Don Andrè che è stato unico per gentilezza a disponibilità.

Ci torno ogni anno per la settimana bianca in Gennaio a Corvara ma questa chiesetta, che spesso viene trasmessa dai telegiornali sotto una nevicata, mi affascina sempre al di la di cio' che rappresenta.Io ci vado alla S:Messa prefestiva del Sabato, ma e' la sua posizione con lo sfondo del Gardena e che domina il paese di Corvara, che mi mettono addosso allegria e serenita' nello stesso momento. Ci vediamo il Prossimo Gennaio spero sotto un metro di nevve!!!
