The "mausoleum" (the main building) is quite a stunning experience with more than 9000 names of Italian soldiers buried in the cemetery. No one was visiting by that time, so I wandered alone. We visited this as part of a tour around WW1 sites (Well - just the 2 of us driving around really). We had visited the Ossuaries at Mt Grappa, Assiago and the one at Kobarid in Slovenia had some idea of what to expect. The place seems a tad run down - one of the 2 gates is broken, yet... More
