This Basilica and its accompanying campanile are located in the centre of Cortina D’Ampezzo, bounded on one side by the pedestrian only Corso Italia and the other by the busy one way street, the via Cesare Battisti. In fact, the more decorated, though hardly ornate,...More

A very old Church with treasures and a lot of altars. During Christmas is magnificently decorated with ponsetias and straw handmade figurines. Many services during the day and lovely priest S taking good care of the people.

If you do not ski, there are not as many attractions to see in the heart of the city, but this church in the center is the best.

Is a church visit on most skiers to-do list when on vacation? Probably not. My experience at this beautiful church in the heart of Cortina was a memorable one. Back from a day of skiing or renting skis and equipment, settling into my hotel and...More
