Cruise stop at Civitavecchia. We loved Ficoncella as an alternative to a long trip to Rome. Taxi from shuttle bus stop cost €50 return but baths cost €1.5 per person. Coffee and snack bar reasonably priced. The 5 baths were quite busy but you can find a space. The water is hot and very soothing, I would definitely recommend.

This was a highlight of our trip to Italy! After an overnight flight we arrived in Civitavecchia and were lucky to get transportation to these wonderful baths thanks to our B&B host/owner. The baths are located outside the city of Civitavecchia and accessible by car, taxi, or bus. We never did see the bus but were told one exists. Imagine warm therapeutic baths overlooking the wonderful countryside towards the Mediterranean Sea. Here we were immersed in Italian culture and hospitality that was a memorable experience to start our travels to such a wonderful country, Italy.

Don't go! We just lost alot of money trying to go to the Terme.
Horribly rude cashier! She was so ignorant that she couldn't understand that American "green pass' looks different than EU "green pass'". Other Italians, including our guide, tried to explain but all she did was yell at them!

This is an excellent spot to bathe in hot spring water, slightly off the beaten track but easily reachable by car from the Civitaveccia Nord motorway turn off.

The baths cost about 2 euros to get in, there is a cheap coffee-shop and snack bar inside, and space to lounge around all day in the healing water and hot sunshine if you want.

Note: on some summer weekends the Terme open late. Why not take the plunge with your other half on a cool evening?

We wanted to try Italian thermal baths and chosed Terme della Ficoncella because it was close to our accomodation, Rome, it is very cheap (1,50 eur for adult, free for children, 2 hours, 1,50 for parking - but you can park outside if you want. It has basic toilets, showers and dressing rooms. Some of the locals arrived in bathingsuits and robes (by car). Take water for drinking and slippers. Enjoyed hot water, nice scenery, no tourists, local people relaxing in/by pools and talking, fantastic afternoon! Combine with visiting nearby Terme Taurine for thermal bath historic knowledge.

Very popular with the locals who visit several times a week. They are renowned for their healing properties. This is a fun place to visit, although the facilities are unsurprisingly basic. There are four changing rooms in a wood cabin and the toilet facilities leave a lot to be desired, but you are there for the thermal baths experience. Unfortunately, although there are warnings in multiple languages of when not to use them, and if you have various health issues, however, we had to ask where to start, i.e. the cooler of the five baths. Initially we could barely tolerate the coolest one, but after gradually acclimatising we managed to have a go in all bar the hottest. The surrounding scenery is lovely to absorb while sitting in the bath - mountains on one side and the sea and port of Civitavecchia, with its cruise liners.
There is a little bar on site for refreshments that are very inexpensive as is the whole experience - €1,50 each and €1,50 to park the car.

Are 5 small pools of natural hot water outdoors for relaxing baths. Cost for 2 hours € 1.50 per person!! The best thing to do in Civitavecchia.

At 4.50 euros for two people for two hours (and that includes the parking fee!) these are the best value thermal baths we have ever been to. There are four pools and some very hot water but no frills - only a café and picnic area - if you want frills, go to a more expensive baths. The baths are well known and well-used by the locals and they were surprised to see us (we were the only non locals there when we visited). It is a great place to spend a couple of hours and there are good views down to the sea and harbor from here.

I have very fond memories of these baths. Me and a friend used to go and sunbathe and dip in and out of the baths, get a coffee and a few snacks and people watch. The real Civiaveccians all go to enjoy it. It is a simple place and totalling relaxing you feel great after.
