From being met at the cruise terminal, to the gelato beside the Trevi fountain and the awe inspiring Sistine Chapel- this day was amazing! Luigi was our driver and we had the fabulous Michaela to guide the 7 of us around the city. Her 15 years of experience meant she knew the best places to visit, was very knowledgeable about Roman history and was relaxed and fun! My children and my parents all enjoyed her tour which took us to the Forum, Collosseum, Spanish steps, Pantheon, Vatican museum and all the sights along the way. (Pic is of one foot in Vatican City and other in Italy with Michaela at the front, and Luigi at the Cruise ship with his van). Would highly recommend this professional service and thank them for a great day together!

We took 2 separate tours with this company while taking a Mediterranean cruise November 10, 2019 out of Barcelona. Tour company was half the price of the Cruise Ship offered options. Were met at the pier on arrival to port to organize into vans. We booked and paid for our cruise on line. When looking for the Rome excursion is said there had to be a minimum number of people and to look on Cruise Critic for others to join us. I was to afraid to chance having to pay a higher fee so do not look at booking. the day before arriving I checked again and they were sold out. I guess I should have signed up for the tour and just hoped that others would as well. Missed out on that tour but did use this company for Pompeii and Sorrento and also the tour in Florence and Pisa. Would definitely use this company again when I next travel to Europe.

Absolutely loved the tour of Pompeii and Sorrento, our tour guide Vince was so amusing and knowledgable. We thought it was wonderful and informative, especially for the price! A much better deal than the Norwegian Cruise Line excursions were offering. I would rate 5 Stars, however pamphlet said we would be back at 3pm, and we didn't actually return until 4pm allowing us no time to actually see Naples at all, since we had to board at 4:30pm. This was really disappointing :( I think they should make a small city tour of Naples or make sure to get back according to the advertised time? Otherwise, I was completely pleased and would definitely recommend.

I did two separate excursions with CBM Tours on 11-5-2019 from Naples (Sorrento & Pompeii) and 11-6-2019 from Livorno (Florence & Pisa). Both tours were a much better value than booking through the cruise line (Norwegian). Well-organized tour group. Highly recommended. SORRENTO & POMPEII: This tour was with a very large group on a big bus, but they did a good job of keeping everyone on schedule. Our tour guide (I can’t recall his name, but he mentioned he was from Sorrento) was very personable and funny and had some great commentary and did a great job overall! And kudos to the driver of that huge bus on the narrow, winding roads leading to Sorrento! The first stop was to a limoncello factory just before reaching Sorrento which was the only part of the tour that I didn’t care for. It was basically just a big gift shop. Clearly, the factory/gift shop subsidizes the tour companies because every tour bus stopped here. It was FAR too crowded, so after a few minutes in that packed environment, I left and walked across the street to the overlook area and took pictures of the coast instead. Some people may like that sort of cheesy souvenir-shop thing, but it seemed like wasted time to me. I would have preferred to use that additional time in Sorrento or Pompeii. You then get a few hours of free time in Sorrento which was nice, but could have been a bit longer. But Pompeii was the highlight of the excursion for me and not to be missed. Overall a very enjoyable day. FLORENCE & PISA: Our transportation to Florence was in a small Mercedes minivan. There were two people that didn’t show up for the tour and we waited about an hour for them which started to get a little frustrating the longer we waited. Show up on time or get left behind, people! And it is a good thing that they didn’t show up because the minivan (which only had two bench seats in the back that faced each other) was full enough with six people. Eight people in that small minivan would have made the long ride to Florence pretty uncomfortable. But all's well that ends well... FLORENCE: Once in Florence, we met up with our English-speaking tour guide and a larger group for the walking tour of Florence. It was a little chilly that day and it rained quite a bit, but we made the best of it and our tour guide did a great job showing us the main sites around Florence. We then had some free time for lunch before meeting back up with our driver for the drive to Pisa. PISA: We didn’t have much free time in Pisa, but enough time to see the tower and the Cathedral and Baptistry in Piazza del Duomo. The tower of Pisa wasn’t high on my list of things to see, but it is definitely worth seeing. Much more impressive than I expected and the town of Pisa itself is probably worth a return trip one day. Overall, I had two very enjoyable excursions with CBM Tours and would highly recommend them.
