I love visiting markets in Europe. The one in Civitavecchia is quite large and set among a few streets/blocks. There's a wide assortment of fruits, vegetables, cheese, meats, fish, prepared foods (ready to cook) etc. There’s also a clothing and household section. I purchased two bouquets of flowers to bring on the cruise with me, which lasted two weeks!
You can easily spend an hour at the market; great opportunity for colorful photos.

This is a impressive local market selling all types of goods. It's located under cover and also spread across the surrounding streets.
We went at 1 O'clock in the afternoon when some of the stalls were getting ready to close. The stalls were selling clothes, fruits, vegetables and other local produce. We did manage to buy some clothes and local walnut.
Impressive away from the main thorough fare.

I booked Foody Tour w Nonna. Nonna never appeared at the designated meeting place at my hotel. But the instructions were very vague and confusing. Meet at the Port(I presumed for those disembarking). I waited at the hotel for a good 20 minutes and no one. Very poor communications

Good mix of all sorts, fresh and household, quite large, good for a look if passing but not worth a special detour.

This market has a lot of things from meat, cheese, fish, produce, flowers, apparel you name it. They even gave us some samples to taste then we bought. Purchased a nice leather belt for 5 Euros.

If you pass by Civitavecchia you can't miss the daily morning market, full of traditional food (fish, cheese, pizza and bread) and history.
High recommended.
