Little lake [you need a car to get here], good for fishing [not easy to catch something], a stroll around, a picknick, a drink or even lunch in the restaurant [the one next to the lake had carper from lake on the menu].

Wonderful quite lake with public picnic tables to have lunch at. Then drop in at the Bar/restaurant for a glass of vino. Only .60 Euros red or white.

To appreciate the Chiusi lake, first should not be assumed to compare it to the nearby Lake Trasimeno, and much less to others most important and most beautiful Italian lakes, both in the Northern and in the Central Italy.
You must instead consider that, inserted in the hills of Chiusi (however beautiful as most of hills of Tuscany), this tiny body of water adds something to the grace of the landscape; It is not, in short, as if it there weren't.
In this way you will be able to appreciate it. And possibly to enjoy it in as many ways as possible. For example by walking or cycling (but not in summer!) on the so called "Sentiero della bonifica" (ie, the "Path of reclamation"). Or simply walking along the lake's banks in their part closest to the parking lot (be warned: a car is almost essential to reach the lake). Or even considering the lake in the light of the history of "Valdichiana"; that is, the valley that lies between Chiusi and Arezzo, and that for millennia has been imbued in water, uncertain whether to drain it towards the Tiber (South), or towards the Arno (North).
The Val di Chiana was eventually reclaimed at the end of the eighteenth century, and Lake Chiusi is considered a remnant of much larger bodies of water that covered the valley .
In this way (that is, without looking in the lake for features that can not be) you will be able to consider a visit to this small lake a satisfying experience.

We stopped here on a wonderful bike ride. There was a restaurant that was closed so I recommend calling to see if they will be open if you expect to get food/drink. There is a water fountain to re-fill water bottles outside.
You can bike on the long docks and it's a fun place to take a picture with the beautiful view.
