Beautiful, engaging theatre, with a soft atmosphere and impressive acoustics. The only echoes are those given by the emotions and by imagining all the generations of Theatines and all the artists who have passed through them. Entering it is a unique experience and, after a few moments, you feel like you are inside the family home where the noises, sounds and voices reach your mind and heart directly. A true temple of culture, not to be celebrated, but to be lived and breathed. Unforgettable.

We wanted to attend an event here, but it was not the season. However, the theatre had an open day while we were there, and the staff encouraged us to go in. Such a spectacular building! The kind staff gave us a little tour after the performance.

I was impressed with the amazing architecture and fresco of the theater. We were sitting in the upper lodge and the view was stunning. I appreciated every second and didn't want to leave.

Wonderful theater. Good acoustics. Absolutely worth visiting because one of the treasures of the Abruzzo area to which not many well-functioning and well-kept traditional theaters remain.
Problems: nearby parking lots very difficult to find if not few and paid. The town of Chieti in its historic center is pretty but very dead even in recreational activities.
Neo: ticket office together with those who administer it directing it not only uncourteous but also unempathic. When you have a problem to solve in this case the presence in the group of a disabled person (report of a disabled person present in the room in our group by the way already communicated by phone) the looks and answers were rather annoyed in "HAVING" to dismantle an armchair. We talk so much about inclusion the first form of it is courtesy and not making disability live already in itself a disadvantageous and complex condition as a PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED.
I would like to point out that you can not book a ticket freely from the Internet but if you are disabled you must necessarily do it as a ticket office and specify your disability condition.

Teatro Marrucino is located in the ancient part of Chietty, Italy. This breathtaking theatre is definitively a must-see "monument" in this city. It has an old historical architecture which inspires everyone who takes a look at it. I assure you'll find yourself surrounded by centuries of history!
