A great place for a meal out

This is our favourite place to have a leisurely Sunday lunch when we are in Italy. The location is beautiful: situated in the hills beyond Cesena, it has stunning views to the mountains of Romagna in one direction and over the plain towards the sea in the other. The welcome from the Lucchi family is always warm, and there is plenty for children to see and do, with ducks and chickens and a range of small animals to pet and feed. You can walk round the vineyard and the food is excellent too. I always go first to the table of cooked vegetables, sometimes a bit of an afterthought in restaurants in Italy, despite the fantastic quality of the local produce. You fill your plate and eat it either as a starter or to accompany the main course. Ron’s choice is usually the tagliatelli con ragu followed by the roast meats. Do try it.
