Tourist office should have known it was closed for a week. After all the effort to find!!! There are no signs anywhere to follow the map from the tourist office. Good luck finding any of the viewing points

A place that definitely deserves to be visited, especially via a sunset boat or bicycle, ideal for all families and ages but watch out for the bridge! Chiedere bene! Special praise to our guide Sara. Let your eyes tell you the rest

Unmissable place for lovers of Nature and our Belpaese.
There are several possibilities to visit: we opted for the aperitif at sunset.
We leave at 20 on an electric boat and you reach a place to consume the "basket" that comes with a comfortable blanket to lie down.
Everything lasts almost two hours, until dusk, and along the way you can also see several birds, including the "usual" Pink Flamingos (at home in Milan!) that seem to be very well here.

Everything is done quite well: the guide by some information and you are then left free to make "the aperitif" just when the sun begins to set.
The only negative thing in my opinion is that the "package" for the aperitif is provided to you before leaving and that, especially for those who take a cocktail not in a can or bottle, it becomes complicated to manage, so much so that your drink is drunk before departure to avoid problems.
You should manage everything with a "trailer" to associate with the boat and with ingredients and elements to distribute once you arrive at your destination, not before.

That said the experience itself, weather conditions, and fellow travelers permitting, is exciting.
As always everything related to the naked and raw Nature.

It concludes my disheartening observation that you finally find a place where parking is large and free, the toilets made available are not "from World War III" and the staff is fairly correct (famous "barista" apart that deserves more than a tinkle).
There is also a small selection of products to buy, but at the moment do not look for Cervia Salt. cause flood 2023 still today of everything you will find in saline (and surroundings), but... not their salt!

We went to Cervia coming from Rimini, but it seemed extremely complicated to find the entrance to Saline di Cervia. There are no signs of orientation and the GPS does not guide you correctly because there are many one way streets. Then you find that you had to make a pre-booking. Finally, they also accepted us with a group that formed then bu the trip was a rudimentary and uncomfortable boat. At the destination, we were shown the salt-water basins, you could walk on salt-filled salt land and ... ready, back to the entrance! Right from the beginning, you were told that you would see flamingo birds, but obviously, I did not see any.
All visit has one purpose - commercial. You are invited to buy the "famous" Cervia salt.

Unfortunately I have to give a negative review for the high price so as not to see anything because the salt production has stopped due to the flood.. I was very sorry.. if it had been written on the site I wouldn't have come with 4 of us (2 adults and two children) we had paid 48 euros. Unfortunately, I do not recommend it to everyone.

I'm really sorry to give a poor review but we had purchased at IAT Cervia a sunset salt pan tour! Instead great clouds and storm risk: it's nobody's fault but it could have been postponed. Stopping for a long time on one side of a tank, the Guide lesson on salt production processes was certainly interesting but it was not what you had bought... So at the limit, get well informed about the characteristics of the experience!

We visited the salt pans with the train. The visit would have been very interesting, if we had seen what we had paid for, but we only discovered upon arrival that the flood had taken away the salt collected in previous years and damaged the salt pans which were dry. What we saw were fields of dried mud. The guide was very knowledgeable and good at telling what we were supposed to see. They should have informed us of the problem when booking and not let it be discovered upon arrival and in any case charge less for the ticket, €18 per person seems a bit much to me given the conditions.

Booked the salt pan train, despite the rain the exit takes place anyway. We get stuck in the mud between two rows and they have to come and tow us with a pick-up, after almost 40 minutes, to let us continue the visit. With the covers lowered, to protect from the rain, little can be seen and the post-flood salt pan is certainly not the one advertised in the beautiful photos of the site, but a huge expanse of dry mud. For intellectual honesty it should be specified when booking online... Moral: the explanations are interesting, the guide is good at managing the situation but before two years, with the salt mine perhaps back up and running, I wouldn't go back.

Interesting visit, competent and friendly Guide, told us very interesting things and explained how the machinery works, I would have liked to see them up close and touch or taste the salt.

Having purchased tickets for the "Salina - BY BOAT ALONG THE SALT ROUTE" excursion you expect to take a long and panoramic boat ride... in reality the boat ride lasts 10 minutes, just enough time to take you on a small path from which a walk of about 200 meters begins. The place is certainly very nice, but the price asked for this type of excursion was excessive for me: €12 each, children (over 1m) included. The salt pan cannot be explored on foot or by boat, the various brackish water collection tanks can be seen from afar, obviously and rightly so, even the fauna is all far away (the organizers provide binoculars to allow you to see better). The guide was very kind and helpful. The whole thing lasted about an hour and a half. The state road that passes 20 meters from the path unfortunately completely ruins the experience due to the constant noise of the cars (but this is certainly not attributable to the organizers). Given the price, I don't feel like recommending this type of experience. I would have liked to see more, discover more things about the salt pan, the salt and the local fauna. Sin!
