Once again spending a bella giornato cooking, learning, laughing, eating and drinking with Antonio was a highlight of our Cefalu stay. Three generations..from 10 to 79 ..enjoyed each minute and morsel. This is our second time.

This was the most fun and educational part of our trip to Sicily. Antonio and Cinzia came to the houses we were staying at laden with fresh vegetables and seafood, and everything we needed to make fresh pasta. They are excellent teachers and by the end of the evening, we felt like old friends. Our whole family loved our time with them and will treasure the memory. We will enjoy making the recipes using the lovely cookbook they gave us for years to come.

I've taken many cooking classes in my life and Sicilian Food Lovers hosted by Cinzia and Antonio is hands down the finest and most authentic. First, they are excellent instructors and spoke English to our group (Swedes, Brits and Americans) very well. Secondly, the ingredients are fresh, directly from the garden grounds at the Monastery where the courses took place. The views of the Monastery grounds were breathtaking. We enjoyed eating the fruits of our labor outside overlooking lemon groves, a stunning pool where my husband and children relaxed and a view of the Mediterranean sea. The value of the course is incredible and includes instruction, multiple courses of the food created during class and local wines. I recommend this course for anyone passionate about learning how to cook proper Sicilian food and doing so in style.

We booked a one day cooking class with Sicilian Food Lovers last month, and are so glad we did! Doing this cooking class was one of the biggest highlights of our entire 3 week trip. There were 4 of us who signed up for the class, and we were joined by 4 other awesome people, and had the best time. Cinzia and Antonio are excellent teachers, and just all around wonderful people!

Not only was the company in the cooking class great, but the food we cooked was delicious! We decided to cook fish for our class, so we made 2 fish dishes, a fresh tomato sauce, fresh pasta, and a dessert (2 people in our class didn't like fish, so they provided a veggie alternative). Many of the ingredients we used were fresh and came from on the property (the class is done on the grounds of a gorgeous villa). Cinzia and Antonio were extremely helpful while we were cooking/chopping/etc, and made sure everyone was enjoying themselves throughout the day.

At the end of the class, we all sat outside to enjoy our feast. We drank delicious wine, ate the food we made, and enjoyed the beautiful sunset in the background. We had such a wonderful night!

We would absolutely go back and do this again, and hope one day we will! Thank you Cinizia and Antonio!

Three of us booked into this school to learn the secrets of Sicilian cooking and we did! We really enjoyed our hands on experience with Antonio. Stuffed courgettes, sardines, fresh pasta, fresh tomato sauce, aubergine and lemon cream! Wow what a feast we had. Antonio is very patient but professional and makes sure you do it right which is great because it makes it easier to get it right at home! Thank you Antonio - a 5 ⭐️ experience!

Antonio is a fantastic chef who makes you feel confident and creative in his class. The setting is beautiful, relaxing and breathtaking. The class is fun, instructive, interactive and well paced. The meal that you make together is delicious. My daughter and I experienced the dinner cooking class and strongly recommend making this a destination while you are in Sicily. It was the highlight of our trip.

Cookery Course Friday 4th May 2018. What an excellent way to spend an afternoon learning about traditional Sicilian dishes with Antonio. Antonio is an exceptional host and chef. We learnt so much in one afternoon and have even had chance to replicate these at home. What was also lovely, was experiencing this with other travellers from American and Holland. It's also a really good way of meeting people from different countries and having a similar interest in the love of food. Thanks to everyone for a wonderful day. Nettie and Neil

My husband and I attended the course in July 2016 and were welcomed by Cinzie. She was and incredible host. We learned so many things about Sicilian cooking. We really enjoyed this course! We made stuffed tomatoes, our own fresh tagliatelle with aubergines and tomato sauce, a pepper dish, a fish dish, a lemon cream. All the courses were made with fresh produce from the garden. It was amazing, really enjoyed it...especially eating it with some nice sicilian wines! Definitely the highlight of our holiday! Thank you!

We arrived to a warm greeting by Antonio and Cinzia with of hot coffee (or wine) and nibbles in the courtyard and met our fellow 'cooks'. We were 6 in total: an Australian couple, an American couple, and us Brits!
Afterwards we went indoors to a beautiful kitchen/ prep room where were guided through making a typical Sicilian starter of stuffed courgettes, followed by rolled swordfish (we could have selected meat instead) and then a lemon pudding. Most of the ingredients provided were fresh from the garden. Our host were amazingly hospitable and encouraging, so do not be put off if you are a novice!
Later we ate the meal we had prepared accompanied by white or red wine under umbrellas in the courtyard as the sun was beating down. We discussed Sicily, the warm hospitality both here and on the island and the Mafia (now apparently running the government!).
Later we were invited to look around the domaine (where they also run B&B) - the views are spectacular - and take a swim in the pool.
A perfect day - happy, encouraging teachers, wonderful food and wine, and an insight into typical Sicilian food and life. Unmissable if you are visiting Cefalu.
